Double Pocket Fun Fold Card Tutorial with Stampin’ Up! Botanical Textures Suite

Today I’m excited to share a handmade card design that’s as beautiful as it is functional — a Double Pocket Fun Fold Card featuring the Stampin’ Up! Botanical Textures Suite! This fold is part of a special series I’ve created, and it’s perfect for both new and experienced card makers alike.
A Fun Fold with Function and Flair
This Double Pocket Card is a creative way to add dimension and interactivity to your handmade cards. It includes two built-in pockets, perfect for tucking in tags, greetings, or even a small gift. Whether you’re sending a heartfelt note or adding a surprise element, this card offers endless versatility.
I designed this one using the Textured Notes Bundle, which includes gorgeous stamps and coordinating rectangle dies. The stunning, hyper-realistic patterned paper comes from the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper — it truly elevates the design with rich detail and depth.
What’s Inside the Pockets?
The pockets hold two removable tags — ideal for writing personal messages, stamping a sentiment, or even tucking in a gift card. I used the rectangle dies to create the tags, but don’t worry if you don’t have them! I’ve included alternate measurements in the instructions so you can easily recreate the look with your paper trimmer.
Coordination Tip
I wanted the ribbon to match the card and didn’t have any Early Espresso ribbon, so I colored the white ribbon with the #100 Stampin’ Blends (Deep) to coordinate with the card.
Mailing Your Masterpiece
Wondering how to mail this fun fold? Great news — this card folds down to a standard A2 size (5-1/2” x 4-1/4”) and fits perfectly in a Stampin’ Up! Medium Envelope. It’s a wonderful choice for happy mail, party invitations, or thoughtful handmade gifts.
