Boughs of Holly [Gold Slimline Card]

BOUGHS OF HOLLY GOLD SLIMLINE CARD

Joy & Peace Slimline shimmery card for the holidays. I created this with the Stampin' Up Leaves of Holly Bundle, Shimmery White card stock and the Merry Melody Embossing Folder for the musical notes background.

I used the Distressed Gold Specialty paper and vellum for the die cuts. The slimline cards fit inside Stampin' Up's Slimline envelopes.

Good evening Tami! love your Christmas cards! I am trying to replicate the gold and cream Boughs of Holly slim line card. I need some tips on how to perfectly align the EF since you need to run in through twice. My attempts so far not so good..either crooked or there are spaces between the two runs through the embossing machine. I am going through a lot of card stock lol.. Help, please. Appreciate any tips and comments. Thank you. Have a great weekend!

    • I’m happy to help. First, anytime I’m experimenting like this I like to use scrap paper or even recycled printer paper for my tester. That way you won’t waste your good cardstock on the “beta” version. Run the paper through once to do 1 half, then line up as close as you can to that. Slightly overlapping helps too. Lastly, if there is a slight gap or imperfection along the seam, position your leaves so they cover it.
