MONEY CAKE INSTRUCTIONS
STEP #1: FOAM CIRCLES
You’ll want multiple sizes of foam circles. I purchased them at Michael’s.
These are the sizes I used, and it took approximately 125 dollar bills. You can use any size diameter, but I do recommend at least 1.5″ thickness. I got 1 that was only 1″ in thickness and had some issues attaching the bills.
Optional: Spray paint the tops any color.
STEP #2: ROLL AND ATTACH DOLLAR BILLS
Roll the dollar bills around a pen or pencil and then use scotch tape to hold them together.
Attach an elastic or tie elastic cord around the foam.
Insert the rolled dollar bills.
Tie ribbon around around each circle to cover the elastic. Stack the circles. If you have battery operated lights wrap them around.
Attach topper. I used a snow globe music box, but you can use anything.
I just love this idea. Sadly the lowest amount in paper money is $5.00 in Australia so could be a tad expensive being 3 tiers but will give it a go anyway. Thanks for a fabulous idea
You could try a 2 layer cake with a topper.
