Get Well Soon Butterfly Card Tutorial

Here is my Get Well Soon Butterfly Card Tutorial. Everything created with the new Stampin Up Butterfly Brilliance Collection is gorgeous. This collection makes it easy to make wow cards. This is a sympathy card, but using a word set like Blossoms in Bloom means you can switch out the greeting and make this a birthday card, thank you card, etc.

This card was created by Arlene Mantle. I have instructions below on how to make this card.

HOW TO MAKE THIS CARD

CUTS

  • Basic Black Card Base: 11″ x 4-1/4″ scored in half
  • So Saffron (inside): 5-1/4″ x 4
  • DSP Strip (inside): 3/4″ x 4″
  • Natural Touch Paper: (2) 5-1/4″ x 1″
  • Bermuda DSP (front middle) 2″ x 5-1/4″
  • Calypso Coral: 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″
  • Basic Black: 2-1/8″ x 3-3/8″
  • DSP: 2″ x 3-1/4″
  • Scraps: Bermuda Bay & So Saffron for frame dies. 2 Butterflies from DSP.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine cut:
    • Bermuda Bay rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle dies
    • So Saffron Ornate Layer frame
    • 2 Butterflies from the Butterfly Bijou DSP (1 for the front and 1 for the inside)
  • Stamp the words on the Bermuda rectangle.
  • Attach the 3 card base layers to the front, and saffron and dsp strip to the inside using Seal Adhesive.
  • Attach the 4 frame layers together using Seal Adhesive (saffron frame, calypso, black and designer paper)
  • Attach the frame panel to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Attach the ribbon to the back of the Bermuda rectangle with Seal Adhesive, then attach to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Attach the butterfly to the inside with Seal Adhesive, and the butterfly to the outside with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Attach black dots.
