VIDEO: Taste the Rainbow of Butterflies Card

butterfly card-stampin upWowzers!!! This card is just fabulous. I’m calling it “Taste the Rainbow of Butterflies“. One of my friends received it as a swap card at Stampin Up’s convention last week, and from the minute she got it, the card went “viral” hehehe!! First it happened in person, when it got passed around our group so everyone could take a picture of it. Then the surrounding rows caught sight of the card, and everyone wanted a shot of it. I posted my picture of the card on my Facebook Page from the convention, and it was an instant success. There were so many responses and emails about it, I promised to share a video tutorial when I got back…so here I am, as promised:)

It’s almost like a rainbow of the new 2013-15 In Colors: Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and don’t miss the card base of Baked Brown Sugar. The butterflies are from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set, and the Petite Pairs stamp set makes the card extremely versatile as you can simply swap out the birthday greeting for any occasion.

    Please rework your Rainbow of butterflies inspiration sheet. Measurements of white and colors of ink appear incorrect. Thank you.

    PAP-ee-ahn is the correct pronunciation. Its french for butterfly.
    Just thought you would like to know. Love the card….I really need to CASE it.

    Hi Tammy,

    Love the card. Just wondering, the stamp set says it coordinates with the elegant butterfly punch but you are using the bitty butterfly punch. Does it coordinate with both butterfly punches.

      Never mind. I can see after looking at the stamp set more closely that it seems as though some of the images coordinate with the elegant butterfly punch and some coordinate with the bitty butterfly punch.

    I made this card and loved it!! I love butterflies! I added a little extra bling to the butterflies. I also didn’t have the punch so I cut it manually. I will be making more of these in different colors!!

    I loved this card. I dont have a big or small enough butterfly. So I did it with circles. It turned out very nice. But not like the. Butterfly.
