I am in love with the colors and layout of this card, using one of my favorite stamp sets: By the Tide from Stampin Up. The Pool Party (blue) and Crumb Cake is so pretty together. The seashell and sea horse images, combined with the hardwood background really give a rustic "Nantucket" beach feel to the card. The Perfect Pennants stamp set and banners dies make the greeting stand out. From Kathie Rotti.

Still winter here in New England, but that isn't stopping me from dreaming of the beach and days to come. This conch seashell card is striking with it's monochromatic color scheme, and perfectly placed elements. Images from the Stampin Up "By the Tide" stamp set, and 3 impressions folders: Designer Frames, Fancy fan and Framed Tulips. Designed by Tammy Johnson.
The Fancy Fan layer was created with a cool technique of inking up the impressions folder either with the ink pad directly, or with a brayer. I made a video a few years ago demonstrating this technique, you can view it here >
CARD: By The Tide – Triple Time Technique

Fun "triple time" technique using the By the Tide stamp set. Designed by Becky Morris. This technique is surprisingly easy to do. There are 3 layers of vanilla, and 3 layers of Baja Breeze, here are the measurements:
Vanilla: 5-1/4 x 4", 4-1/4" x 3" & 3-1/4" x 2"
Baja Breeze: 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" & 3-1/2" x 2-1/4"
Cajun Craze card base: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (fold in half)
Triple Time Stamp Technique: Simple layer all of the vanilla on top of each other without the baja breeze panel, randomly stamp your images over all 3 at once. TIP: Be sure to stamp off the edge. Then assemble all of your pieces. It's that simple!

Hip, hip, hooray for the FANTASTIC new Spring "not so mini" Catalog from Stampin' Up! This catalog was released today, and all of the fabulous new bundles and products in it are available now. I'm a huge fan of the By the Tide stamp set featured in the catalog, I love the Maine Lobster (or as we New Englanders say...Lobstah). I can't wait to play with him, stay tuned for more.

Today's how-to video is for this gorgeous WOW card featuring the lighthouse from the Stampin Up High Tide stamp set. I love how this came out, it is stunning. I stamped the lighthouse on the Serene Scenery DSP. The image is highlighted with the white craft ink and a blender pen. If you have been following me for awhile, you may remember the Tile Coaster episode from my TV Show. These are similar, with a new twist, the Stampin' Up Blendabilities Markers make fantastic coloring mediums for the tiles.

CARD: By the Sea Card

Continuing on a beach theme, this card comes from the By the Sea stamp set. The background incorporates some sponging and then is sprayed with shimmer mist to make it sparkle. This shimmer mist doesn't come out well in the photo. You can see a video tutorial on how to make Shimmer Mist using our Champagne Shimmer paint here >.
The shells and starfish are embossed with Espresso emboss powder.

Yes, I realize it's January but what can I say? I'm from New England and Maine lobsters (or Lobstahs as we say) are as common as burgers and hot dogs in our house lol. Seriously, you have BBQs, we have Lobstah-Qs. So when I saw the By The Tide stamp set in the new Spring Catalog, featuring this fabulous guy, I knew he was first on my list!
