Gingerbread Man Gift Set Tutorial

Get ready for something extra sweet! Today I’m sharing part 2 in my Gift Set Series, featuring three adorable projects that will melt your heart — and maybe make you crave cookies! This Gingerbread Man Gift Set includes a Hidden Message Z-Fold Card, a Cookie Treat Box, and a Hot Cocoa Packet Holder.
I’ve been going Gaga over the Gingerbread Man Bundle this week on the blog — and can you blame me? He’s just so stinkin’ cute! You’ll also find a full Create & Craft Class and a 6-card fun fold tutorial in my PDF Store if you’re as smitten as I am.
The die-cut flowers, cake, and balloons are all from the Wildflower Birthday Specialty Paper. Sadly, this gorgeous paper is retiring soon — it’s currently on the Last Chance list and on sale, but only while supplies last! Grab it before it’s gone forever.
About the Projects
Hidden Message Z-Fold Card
This card will make anyone giggle! It features a little gingerbread man with a “broken” foot and the playful greeting “Oh Snap!” The fold hides a secret flap inside — perfect for writing your personal message without taking away from the beautiful design.
This is a traditional Z-Fold fun fold with a twist: a hidden message panel that opens to reveal a white insert for your handwritten note. The best part? It folds flat and fits easily into a standard envelope.
For the background, I used the Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Paper from Stampin’ Up!’s Online Exclusives. The gingerbread men are designed to look freshly baked with “frosting” details that make them almost good enough to eat!
Cookie Treat Box
This treat box is too dang cute! It measures 5-1/2″ tall and is the perfect size for cookies, candy, or even a small gift card. It coordinates perfectly with the Z-Fold card and includes a hidden message inside.
For my sample, I filled it with Milano Cookies (because, yum!). You can find these at most grocery stores or grab a 10-pack here
Imagine giving this as a teacher, neighbor, or coworker gift — it’s thoughtful, handmade, and deliciously adorable!
Hot Cocoa Packet Holder
Nothing says cozy like cookies and hot cocoa! I created this packet holder to fit standard cocoa packets and added a real candy cane for a festive touch. I used Ghirardelli Hot Cocoa (available here), but any brand will work.
This design adds just the right dose of peppermint joy — a warm hug in a mug! Whether you use these as stocking stuffers, table favors, or part of a larger gift, they’ll make your holiday gifting extra special.
