Posted on August 26th, 2009, no responses.
Here’s another super cool swap I received at Stampin’ Up’s annual convention in Salt Lake City earlier this month.
This card was created by Angela McKay, it uses the Circle Scissors to create the porthole, vintage brads and hemp for accents. Stamp sets are: Beware Pirates (115187) & Woodgrain (117100). Brushed silver and gold paper.

Have you seen the new stencils from Stampin’ Up!? These “diamonds in the rough” are burried deep down in the Decor Elements catalog.
These rooms show some super cool ideas create with our stencils. I love the creative use of the frames around the stenciling. This room uses a compliation of the Flourish (117581), Brocade Florish (117974), and All Scallops (117584) stencils.

John Deere Tractor Card
Posted on August 18th, 2009, 3 responses.
I can’t stand how stinkin’ cute this card is!!! I got this at convention and it just blew me away. This was created by Phylllis Garner (thanks Phyllis), it was one of my very last swaps on the last day, and boy am I glad I was in the right place at the right time hehehe.Phyllis used the All in the Family stamp set for the man in the tractor. The Tag punch for the top of the tractor, it’s hard to see in this pic, but she actually used a window sheet behind the sq for a window effect. The scallop circle punch for the back tire and 1″ & 1 1/2″ circle punches for the rest of the tire parts. The photo corner punch and white gel pen accents.
When you purchase the All in the Family stamp set in August, you get a pack of free buttons, click here >
A dedication to my SAM - Beth
Posted on August 17th, 2009, 2 responses.
Success doesn’t come alone, it takes hard work, dedication and support. For me, I could never have met my goals and soar beyond my dreams with Stampin’ Up had it not been for my family, my husband, my customers & downline AND my Service Account Manager (SAM for short), Beth Hatt. A Stampin’ Up Service Account Manager is assigned to each demonstrator who reaches certain criteria in the company. All of the SAM’s are great.Beth is not only a great SAM, she is a great friend, and I owe so much to her for her help and support through out these past 3 years. Beth and I have worked together since 2006.
This year at convention, the SAMS had this picture taken, and made this darling frame. I’m so proud, I’m putting it on my desk!
I wanted to do this post as a dedication to Beth, so I dug up a couple old pictures from our time together (which she will probably kill me for hehehe) because it brings back some great memories and a couple cute stories… Read the rest of this entry…

I’m in love with this super cute backpack holder! This was made by Catherine Sodano, she created it out of rich razzleberry designer paper, polka dot ribbon and card stock. the top has a velcro hinge. It’s embellished with the Stampin’ Up pretties kit flowers and pearls. How cute would this be for a teacher gift? With goodies, note cards or even pencils inside?

Yipppeee!! I finally have some more pics to share from convention, this one to the left is one of my favorites. This is part of my group (myself, Sharon, Liz, Judy & Sue) that went to the Stampin’ Up Home office in Riverton. This photo is outside the home office. We had so much fun this day!!I am hoping to recover some pics of my whole group that went soon. Thanks to everyone who helped me with my download dilemmas from my previous post. And special thanks to my friend and downline Liz Miller who took these awesome pics below, I had a little too much fun making a collage out of them (you’re the best!!). Enjoy
Convention Swap Samples
Posted on August 12th, 2009, 4 responses.
2009-08 Convention Swaps Part 1 One of my favorite parts of any Stampin’ Up event is swapping!! I love to swap stamping ideas. I am often asked at club and classes how I come up with ideas for projects, my #1 answer is swaps.
I brought over 100 swaps to trade to convention in Salt Lake City (I posted pics of these last week). This meant I got to bring home over 100 new ideas, and there was so many GREAT samples. Here are a few of the great swaps. Stay tuned for a lot more updates, ideas, etc from convention. I had some camera trouble (and still am), and thanks to my downline Liz Miller I hope to be able to recreate some of the shots I lost, just need to figure out how to download from Shutterfly (if anyone has any hints, I’d be ever so grateful).

Stampin’ Up Annual Awards night news
Posted on August 7th, 2009, 18 responses. When we first came to Stampin’ Up’s annual convention a couple of days ago, I was informed that I’d earned an award called the Founder’s Circle. They don’t tell you why you earned it until Awards Night. The Founder’s Circle awards are the company’s highest honor, consisting of a Top 10 in sales, recruiting, leadership and/or Top 100 Demonstrator of the Year for the entire US.
Last night was the big night…and WOW it was exciting…I am honored to announce that I earned not just 1, but THREE awards:
- #4 Demonstrator of the Year
- #3 Recruiting
- #2 Sales
HOLY COW!!!!!!!!! I’m so excited!! And a HUGE THANK YOU to all of my customers and downline for this incredible honor. Unfortunately, I don’t have any pics from awards night to share, if you were there and have one will you send it to me? I’d be so grateful.
A shout out to my uplin, Robin Desko, who was announced as a finalistf for this year’s Artisan Awards, CONGRATS!
After the awards night we enjoyed the funny and talented entertainment provided by Tonic Sol Fa! Last year, my hubby Steve (in a blue shirt) attended awards night with me, and was singled out by the band quite a few hilarious times. This year Blue Shirt Steve wasn’t able to attend, but they were looking for him (sorry guys). Instead they picked on Shelli’s son in law Jason, who surprised them by leading a demonstrator conga line around the hall! TOO FUN! Jason, says he’s awaiting Steve’s return to take over the hot seat but I think he provided some great entertainment for us and the band!
More coming soon….Tami
Team Stamp It Convention Tags - Gifts
Posted on August 7th, 2009, 7 responses.I always like to do something special for the demonstrators in my group (Team Stamp It!) at Stampin’ Up events. Tonight we are going out to dinner at the Macaroni Grill, I can’t wait!!
Stampin’ Up always gives us a super cool tote at convention, so I made each of the gals attending with me one of these tags for their bag. I had three different color tags, so I took a picture of 1 of each. I used the designer paper, clear buttons, pretties kit and black gingham, or polka dot ribbon to embellish the faux leather tag.
Each one one has an initial on it.
I wanted to wait until today to post these so they would get theirs before they saw it here online (they check here regularly) hehehe.
