I love swapping! It’s one of my favorite parts of any Stampin’ Up event (like convention, etc). I love the ideas, trading cards and meeting demos.
In honor of the new mini catalog that came out April 1, 2009 Stampin’ Up Occasions Mini catalog, I hosted a swap and received some fabulous samples. I have these displayed for all of my events. I wanted to post them here for my non-local gals, so you gals can enjoy them too.
Manhattan Flower in vellum - oh la la

I just keep falling in love with the Big Shot over and over, the Manhattan Flower Textured plate that was just released just brings out the joy in me all over again! Everything you make with it is beautiful, seriously just a plain sheet of whisper white card stock looks elegant with this folder.
I made this card for April stamp club, it is a “wow”. Place vellum panel in Manhattan Flower folder, open Big shot cutting pad to tab that shows embossing folder. Place folder in between cutting pads and run through machine (as shown). Ohhhh …. Ahhhhh … then use sponge daubers to rub color over back of flowers. Read the rest of this entry…

Happy Easter - Spring Chickie Candies

Basket full of chickies! Peppermint patty chickies that is. The cutest dang Easter candy going. This idea was from my friend Meg. These little guys were all made with Stampin’ Up punches and mini peppermint patty candy. My mom, mother in law and I made them on Saturday for Easter. We used all SU punches. He was a big hit!
Birds with Leaves and Flower card - wow

I received this card in a swap, it was created by Carol Gilmore. This card is such a wow in person, I just couldn’t stop staring at it, it really is gorgeous.
Carol used the Big shot and “Bird w/ Leaves and Flower” die combined with the Trio flower punch and Stampin’ Up Flower burst embosslit together to to create this master piece.
