CARD: Whimsical Butterfly “Thank You” Card
CARD: Cheer Up Buttercup Butterfly
CARD: Grateful for You
CARD: Live Simply, Love Generously
Live Simply, Love Generously Care Deeply, Speak Kindly Leave the rest to God
Such a beautiful saying from the "Trust God" stamp set. This gorgeous card comes from my "Cruise Swap Series", created by Claire Daly from Melborne Australia. The butterfly is embossed in gold and colored with Stampin Up Write markers. The bottom accent on the Apothecary Accents panel has Gold Encore ink, direct to paper.VIDEO: Painters Tape Technique
Loving this cool and super easy technique using painters tape, of all things! Normally you would use this stuff to mask off areas of your walls/house that you didn't want paint on, however today we'll be using it to apply paint (or ink in our case). Today's sympathy card sample from the Love and Sympathy stamp set was made by Kathie Rotti.
Below is another example from Diane Giarrusso featuring the Spread the Joy stamp set. I'll post the supplies for both cards below.
Tip: I found this technique works best with the new style "foam" ink pads from Stampin' Up, you can still do it with the older "felt" pads, just a slightly different result.

VIDEO: Simply Sketched Double Impressions WOW
After lots of practice, and coaching (from you guys) I've finally learned how to say "papillon"! Wahooo! Be sure to check out my latest Bloopers for a few laughs at how badly I've been botching this word. No matter how you say it, this card is gorgeous! A swap from Leonie Shroder (all the way from Australia!). You'll love this "double impressions" technique for fabulous texture.
I originally created this for stamp club last month, and although I don't often post my club projects publicly, I wanted to share this one to give you a taste of what we do. If you are one who likes written directions, and enjoy free stamps, and exclusive projects, you'll want to check it out (click here).
Leonie used the Gifts of Kindness stamp set for the words on hers, in the video I used a greeting that came with the Simply sketched hostess set.
VIDEO: Taste the Rainbow of Butterflies Card
Wowzers!!! This card is just fabulous. I'm calling it "Taste the Rainbow of Butterflies". One of my friends received it as a swap card at Stampin Up's convention last week, and from the minute she got it, the card went "viral" hehehe!! First it happened in person, when it got passed around our group so everyone could take a picture of it. Then the surrounding rows caught sight of the card, and everyone wanted a shot of it. I posted my picture of the card on my Facebook Page from the convention, and it was an instant success. There were so many responses and emails about it, I promised to share a video tutorial when I got back...so here I am, as promised:)
It's almost like a rainbow of the new 2013-15 In Colors: Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and don't miss the card base of Baked Brown Sugar. The butterflies are from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set, and the Petite Pairs stamp set makes the card extremely versatile as you can simply swap out the birthday greeting for any occasion.
Card created by Sheryl Wheatly.

CARD: Golden 50th Anniversary Wow Card
This card is such a beautiful anniversary card, created by Chris Talbot for a Wow Swap. True to the swap, it is a real WOW in person. The 50th wedding anniversary is called the "Golden Anniversary". The card is accented in gold that is heat embossed on the images and even around the edges. The stamp sets are: Memorable Moments and Papillion Potpourri (Butterfly).
VIDEO: Poppin’ Butterfly “Work of Art” Card
This video comes by popular demand from a post a couple of weeks ago featuring this "poppin' butterfly" in Daffodil Delight (click for original post). It really is a wow! All it takes is some simple layering, a couple stampin' dimensionals and a little sponging to make this butterfly POP right off the card. It's 3D without the funky glasses!
CARD: Trust god you are a ‘Work of Art’
The message on this card seemed like the perfect share after returning from a weekend with my boys. We attended a Teen Retreat with the church Youth Group. It was an amazing weekend that I was blessed to be a part of. "Each one of us is God's special work of art" ~ So true!!
The words are from the Trust God stamp set, the butterfly is from Papillon Potpourri. What really makes this card "pop" is the layering of the butterfly (see close up below). The butterlfies in this set match the punches, making the layers simple and easy. The bottom section of the butterfly was raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals once. The upper wings were raised up in two layers. Just a touch of sponging under the butterfly creates a stunning effect!
