NEW Stampin’ Up! Ink Pad Style + 2026–2028 In Color Sneak Peek

New Ink Pad Style Details and In Color Sneak Peek

Big changes are coming… and they are GOOD ones! 🙌

Stampin’ Up! has officially announced a brand-new ink pad style, and it’s debuting with the upcoming 2026–2028 In Colors. Today I’m sharing what’s changing, what’s staying the same, and giving you a peek at the gorgeous new colors: Barely Blush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Golden Glow, Peaceful Pine, and Hydrangea Hue.

I’ll also be diving deeper into everything in this video.

Introducing the NEW Ink Pad Style

Beginning May 2026, the new ink pad design will roll out — starting with the new In Colors only.

Here’s what you need to know:

✔️ Felt Ink Pad Surface

We’re returning to a felt-style pad, which many stampers love for:

  • Rich, even ink coverage
  • Beautiful image transfer
  • Excellent performance with detailed stamps

✔️ Magnetic, Stackable Case Design

Yes… magnetic. 🙌 The new style is thoughtfully engineered, beautifully functional, and completely top of the line. With an easy, mess-free open and a snap-tight closure, we think you’ll agree it’s one of the coolest ink pad cases available.

The new cases:

  • Feature a magnetic closure
  • Easy to open
  • Are designed to be stackable
  • Will still work with our current Stampin’ Up! storage systems
  • Size: 4-15/16″ x 3-3/8″ x 5/8″
  • Price $14.00

✔️ Gradual Transition Plan

This isn’t an overnight change.

  • The new pads will debut with the 2026–2028 In Colors
  • In 2027, all ink colors will transition as part of a planned color revamp
  • The current pad style will be gradually phased out

And most importantly…

There is NO need to replace your current ink pads.
They will continue to work beautifully throughout this transition. Use what you have. Love what you have. Replace as needed over time.

Even Bigger News — A Simpler Catalog Experience

Starting in May 2026, Stampin’ Up! is completely refreshing how catalogs work.

Instead of one large annual catalog, we’ll now have three hybrid catalogs each year, combining the best of both a mini catalog and an annual catalog into one easy-to-shop experience.

New Catalog Cycles:

January – April
May – August
September – December

Each catalog will include:

  • Brand new products
  • Customer-favorite staples
  • Shopping by product category (yes — it’s back!)

This is going to make finding what you need faster and easier than ever.

I will have more info on the May catalog next month. You can learn more about how to get free catalogs from me here

Comments

  1. Excited for the new colors!

  2. I’m a demonstrator from Indiana but I have no upline now to keep me abreast of all new techniques or updates. I would appreciate any updates and suggestions. Thank you

    • I don’t have a direct or close upline either, and haven’t for almost 20 years lol. The good news is there are so many great resources for us. If you check the SU weekly updates every Tuesday and read the emails they send you’ll get informed on all that is happening.

  3. Cindy A Stegner says

I have several stamping friends with arthritis so I know they will love the new stamp pads!!

    • Colleen White says

I have been lobbying for the magnetic stamp pads for years because of my arthritic hands. I was really hoping when SU acquirer CTMH that this would be one of the changes made. So far, I have been really happy with the products!!!!! I love the magnetic pads!!

  4. Thanks for the info regarding the colors

  5. MARIE ALBERTSON says

I love, love, these stampin’ up ink pads, I had used and purchased them from “CLOSE TO MY HEART” and when they closed, I was going to write to Stampin’ Up to see if they could go to these, I always had to have someone open them for me. Thank you !!!

  6. Will the reinkers for the new stamp pads in 2027 still coincide with our old stamp pads?

  7. I still don’t see any information as to their size, which is what I am looking for. I know that they are longer than the current stamp pads and possibly narrower, but nothing indicates their exterior size in any of the above information.

  8. Its always fun to see the new colors but sad to see the others go. I saw your other Stampin up video that shows the new colors coming out. I like the summer splash from the retiring colors. But I have enjoyed all the colors. Thanks Kay

  9. When can demos order the incoming pads ??

  10. Hi, Does a color revamp mean that they are going to change the rest of the colors too (not just the in-colors)?

    • A Core color refresh means some of our core colors will change. It happens ever 5ish years to keep up with the trends. There will not be one this year, there will be one in 2027.

  11. I like the crisp Cantalope & golden glow colors; but I only use the stampin Spots because I could never open the big pads. Will the New Refill Inks still work with the Stampin Spots?

  12. I’m exited and looking forward to all the new changes. New colors, new ink pads, new catalog format!

  13. Sherry Salyers says

I heard last week at a stamp party the new ink pads are going to be $20each!
Do you know if that is true?? I hope not!
