Kangaroo & Company Bundle – Card Tutorial

This is a fun card with a little surprise inside the kangaroo pouch. Pull up the hearts for a secret message “love you much”. I have printable instructions below.

This card was a catalog “CASE” that I’d wanted to share it sooner but other fun projects kept bumping it. Now sadly the cute bundle is retiring. I wanted to make sure I shared the card with you before the bundle is gone. Because it’s been sitting waiting for me to share for a bit, a few of the products used on the card have since retired so I’ve included subs for them:

Calypso Coral Ribbon – Sub Flirty Flamingo Gold Metallic Ribbon (and use Flirty Flamingo card Stock for the words)
Stitched Shapes Circle die – Sub Layering circle die

HOW TO MAKE THIS CARD

CUTS:

Petal Pink Card Base – 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”
In Good Taste DSP – 5 ¼” x 4”
Scraps of Forever Greenery DSP, Basic White, Calypso Coral (or Flirty Flamingo), Old Olive and Soft Seafoam card stock

INSTRUCTIONS:

Stamp the following pieces:
- Basic White cardstock: Kangaroo & hearts images in black & words “love you so much” in either Calypso Coral or Flirty Flamingo ink
- Old Olive cardstock: 2 leaves images in Old Olive ink
- Soft Seafom cardstock: 2 leaves images in Soft Seafoam ink
- Stamp the words “Hoping by just to say hi” in Versamark on either Calypso Coral or Flirty Flamingo cardstock
Pour white emboss powder over the words and heat with heat tool
Color the kangaroo and heart images with Stampin’ Blends markers
Using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine die cut the following:
- The kangaroo image
- The hearts image
- (4) leaves images
- The words “love you much” with the flower wrapper die
- Cut a circle from the DSP with the Layering Circles dies.
Adhere Snail Adhesive to the back of the Kangaroo image and attach the gold cord and ribbon
Attach the 4 leaves images to the back of the circle panel with Seal Adhesive
Attach the Kangaroo image with ribbon and cord to the circle panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Cut the words with Paper Snips and attach to the circle with Seal Adhesive
Attach the wood DSP to the card base with Seal Adhesive, then attach the circle panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Attach embellishments
