FLOATING FRAME TECHNIQUE
FLOATING FRAME SERIES #1 – 2
Today is my Stamp It Demonstrator’s Group Blog Hop . We’re all really excited to unveil our projects, and announce a new contest giveaway. To continue on your journey through our projects, simply use the BLOG HOPPERS links below.
On this video class I’ll share how to make these amazing Floating Frame Technique cards. I’ll be using the Stampin’ Up! Easter Bunny stamp set and Stampin’ Blends.
The floating frame is like magic, the images appear to be magically floating on the card. Both cards are single layer and made at the same time. I’ll share how to do this along with some Stampin’ Blends coloring techniques with the blends markers and many more ideas featuring this technique. The end result creates a real “Wow”.

Have you tried this design? I love to see your creations! Be sure to share them on #shareyourcrafts post every Saturday on my Facebook Page.
This set of cards are single layer, just a card base and the images. This technique creates both cards at the same time. One is the inverse of the other.
There was an Easter Bunny punch that matched one of the bunny images in the stamp set. It was so popular it’s on back order so I just cut these images out with Paper Snips.

Have fun!
I always wanted to learn this and you have come to the rescue. And, I just got the bunny stamps, so I’ll give it a try. Thanks Tami for sharing. #stampitcontest
Well that was perfect timing! So glad I was able to help you.
#stampitcontest Absolutely love the bunnies, Tami. Tacos too, would it be weird to do Taco Easter cards?
Why not? Would love to see what you come up with LOL
#stampitcontest Such a fun technique. Love the bright colors and that it makes 2 cards at the same time.
Yes, I love that you get 2 cards out of it too!
#stampitcontest
An oldie but a goodie! Love the silicone mat trick!!
True – seems like everything comes back around in one form or another. Glad the silicone mat trick was helpful.
I was happy to see that your Press’n Seal was printed also, mine has stars on it lol. I was creating along with you (missed it live though), but I used the Elephant Parade bundle for a baby card. Instead of doing 2 cards, I adhered the middle pieces with glue dots and the ‘frame’ with dimensionals (was a little tricky getting center in – I have no idea what possessed me to deviate from your tutorial, probably wont do that again lol)- it may not qualify as a floating frame card now, but it did come out pretty cute. The recipient loved it. Love the designer paper idea and the Paper Pumpkin idea, I will try these next!!
#stampitcontest
Donna-congratulations on making a floating frame card! The elephant parade bundle would make an awesome baby card – did you
take a picture of it before you gave it away? I think your idea of using different levels for the 2 pieces is great.
No, I forgot to take a picture, wish I had. Thank you. I’ve been thinking of trying it again, but this time I’ll put the middle on a different piece of card stock – same color, either lighter or darker than card base – to see if it gives it a little more pop/depth ? I have made a couple like yours (used Hey Chick and This Birthday Pig) and I really love how they look!
#stampitcontest
