VIDEO TUTORIAL: Chalkboard Technique Valentine

hearts a flutter chalk board-stampwithtamiLast night a few gals from my demonstrator group came over and stamped! We had so much fun, we each brought a project for everyone else to make. We call it a “Shoebox Swap”, only because we put the project supplies in boxes like shoeboxes, not because we are swapping shoeboxes hahaha. This is a picture of us below.

Today’s video was one of the “shoebox” projects, brought by my friend Kathie Rotti. We will be “kickin’ it old school” creating this fun  and super “hot” chalkboard technique Valentine’s Day card.

I just love your videos! They are so helpful and your are an awesome instructor! You put a smile on my face every time I watch one! Thank you for taking the time to make the videos and for sharing your awesome talent with us! I truly appreciate it!

  3. You always have such great instructions and videos. I’m wondering if you need to “set” the powder with a fixative (even hairspray works, I’ve heard). I’d hate for that nice chalkboard effect to be rubbed away too easily. I wish my CASEs were as nicely done as yours–tee hee!

  4. Thanks for the chalkboard technique video.

  5. Love the chalkboad technique. I am having trouble downloading the pdf document.

  6. Always love watching the videos you post…so funny and such great tips!

  7. Can’t wait to try this technique. I guess I’ll need to get some craft white…

  8. Unique!

  9. Stunning! I love this. Another idea for the embossing powder is to use coffee filters. They are cheap and smaller than a piece of paper.

  10. Hey,

I simply love this idea, I had to try it out straight away.

As I don’t own any of the stemps you used, my card looks quite different, but it fits the occasion perfectly: I made it a “school is cool” card for my friend’s daughter, who will be starting school in summer.

Please keep inspiring us like you do

  11. Definitely going to try this!

  12. Thanks Tami for your card you were a lifesaver I had wanted to do this technique and had found your card. The gals just loved the card. Thanks so much.
