The 2016 Stampin Up Retirement List has officially posted. On it, was this "The Open Sea" stamp set. It is one of my favorites. I have lots of projects featuring this stamp set. I'm sure going to miss it. The Typeset background paper is also retiring. This card was designed by Liz Miller.

I love the schooner ship and nautical images in the Open Sea Stamp Set, and when you add the Clockworks stamp set into the mix with a little magic you get this amazing masculine card. Using colors like: Marina Mist & Pacific Point simply enhance the "nautical" theme. Perfect for birthdays, Father's Day, or any occasion for the men in your life. Inspired by my friend Michelle Zindorf.
There are some fun "direct to paper" techniques in the video, as well as some "funny" goof ups that I left in for your amusement, and I saved a few for an upcoming blooper real (Stay Tuned). Honestly, this video could have been it's own "blooper" episode lol. Did you ever have one of those days? Friends don't let friends create videos before caffeine!

Ship in a Bottle Card

How do they do that?! The "impossible bottle" is a bottle that has an object inside it that does not appear to fit through the mouth of the bottle. The ship in the bottle is a traditional example, and in the case of this card maybe the easiest "ship in a bottle" to create since all you really have to do is "stamp it" in there lol.

This card coordinates the schooner sailboat with the Nautical Expedition Designer Paper (122343) and Early Espresso Bakers Twine (123124). The schooner is layered on the Two Tags Bigz die (115954).
