Storm Updates and Paper Pumpkin Giveaway and Free Gift Deadline is March 10

STORM UPDATE So that "little" snowstorm they were predicting ended up hitting my area with some wet, heavy snow, that took down trees and power lines. We are used to snow here in New England, but this was heavier then our poor trees and power lines could take, and much of our region ended up without power. I was fortunate to get my power back after a day, but Linda's is still out. As the power came back on, the supplies for my new office remodel arrived. I had outgrown my old office set up, and needed to re-work the space to better fit our needs. Once it's complete, I hope to be run more efficiently. Construction is beginning today, which has my tiny temporary office space even more crowded and a little tight to work in. My stamp space (Also known as my dining room) is totally covered with office supplies during the construction. As a result, I have to reschedule my Friday Facebook Live Class until next Tuesday. And we have to cancel Tuesday's Stamp Scoop (we will be back on March 27 with episode 50). Hopefully Linda gets her power back soon.

PAPER PUMPKIN FREE GIFT DEADLINE MARCH 10

My facebook live class was going to be my February "Wildflower Wishes" kit alternate project. Below are some alternate projects from Stampin Up. Updated Facebook Live times and dates are listed in the EVENTS section of my Facebook page.

Help Stampin Up Support the Red Cross in Hurricane Relief Efforts

SU_HurricaneRelief
I love this company and all it stands for, I know many of you have been directly affected by Harvey and many others are about to be affected by Irma. Stampin Up is matching donations made to the Red Cross through this link, doubling our efforts to make a difference. I have made a donation to the Red Cross to help aid, you can too.
From Stampin Up: Along with many of you, we are watching with concern as stories unfold about the devastation left behind in Texas and Louisiana by Hurricane and Tropical Storm Harvey. Though no one knows how many lives have been affected, Harvey is said to be one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history, and the damage caused by massive flooding will be felt for years to come. With you, we’re also trying to stay informed on the progress of Hurricane Irma; as we write this, Irma has not yet made landfall but is currently classified as a catastrophic Category 5 storm. It will almost certainly leave as much destruction in its wake as Hurricane Harvey and will affect the lives of tens of thousands of people. As a Stampin’ Up! family, we invite you to help us give to those who are now (or will soon be) trying to rebuild their lives. From now until the end of October, Stampin’ Up! will match donations made to the American Red Cross, dollar-for-dollar, for up to $50,000. Please click here to donate. The Stampin’ Up! community is already making a difference through ongoing hurricane relief efforts. Here are some ways people are raising money.
  • Demonstrators are donating a portion of their commissions.
  • Demonstrators are holding dedicated events, including retired product sales, where all proceeds are being donated to hurricane relief.
  • Customers are being invited to donate at events.
  • Demonstrators are selling unused cards or are mounting past swaps on card bases and selling them (in accordance with the Angel Policy) to raise hurricane relief funds.
If you’re a Stampin’ Up! customer and would like to help click here to donate to the American Red Cross. Together, we can do incredible things! We hope you’ll join us . . . because we truly can make a difference.

From the Stampin Up Incentive Trip to Thailand and Beyond – back from vacation

I'm back from the most incredible vacation, truly the "trip of a lifetime". All made possible by Stampin Up. Beginning with the Incentive Trip to Phuket, Thailand. I was joined by my son Noah, God-son Ryan and friend Lisa. Stampin Up rented out the entire Laguna Angsana Resort, and what an amazing place this was. From there Phuket we traveled on to Bangkok. Here we joined up with Pam and Scott Nielsen (Stampin Up CFO) and traveled together on to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Here we toured some fabulous temple ruins, waterfalls and fell in love with this beautiful place. On our way home, we originally had a lay over in Dubia, United Arab Emirates. Because Dubai was a bucket list, we decided to extend that layover for a few additional days. Below are just a few of the many highlights from this 16 day adventure. Here are links to my entire trip on Facebook. For the short version, I've posted the highlights are below:

Phi Phi Islands in Phuket, Thailand:

We charted a boat with my friends Joyce Feraco & Frenchie Martin and their families. It was hard to pick a favorite day, but this ranked up there. One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.

Favorite New Products from the Concept Art Team – What is your fav?

Below is a post from the Stampin' Up! Home Office - Concept Art Team sharing their favorite new products.

Q: What is your favorite new product?
I love it all, hard to narrow down ... but I especially love the new magnetic platform for the Big Shot machine!!!

Our New Favorite Products

One of the best parts about being concept artists is that we get to see and use our new products so early. Actually, it can be a little torturous to use the new products and then have to wait to share with everyone else. We’re so glad that it’s now time to share all of the wonderful new products in our latest annual catalog!

Each of us has made a quick sample using some of our favorite new products.

Robyn:

Here are some of my favorites from the new catalog:

Angie:

There are SO many favorites in this catalog that it was hard to choose only a few.

Here is a list of my MUST HAVE RIGHT NOWs:

My favorite color combo right now is:

Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and Basic Gray – and any products containing those colors: washi tape, buttons, ribbons, Designer Series Paper, etc.

Melody:

I agree with the other girls: there are so many new and exciting products in this catalog—it’s hard to pick just a few—but somehow I managed! The favorites I picked for my project are:

I only used Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe on my card, but I love all of the colors in the new revamp. It was sad to see some of them go, but I honestly love the returning and new colors so much that I haven’t missed the old colors at all.

Chrissy:

Some of my absolute favorite things out of the new catalog (in no particular order) are:

  • The Basic Black 3/4'' Chevron Ribbon because it's so versatile. You can cut it down the middle for a skinnier diagonal-striped ribbon. It's amazing, and a must-have.
  • The Chalk Talk Framelits Dies are great for making fun-shaped tags, and I love gift wrapping. It's also a must-have.
  • The Dictionary Background Stamp can be made to look vintage, eclectic, or bright and fun. There are so many looks you can achieve with this one background stamp! Not to mention book paper is still one of my favorite trends. This will definitely be joining my background stamp collection at home on my shelf. No doubt I'll be reaching for it often.
  • Some of the new colors make me want to do a happy dance. Crushed Curry (oh, how I missed you!), Bermuda Bay, and the brand new Coastal Cabana are all absolutely beautiful!

And, last (but certainly not least) is MDS. One of my favorite features is being able to cut out some of our images with an e-cutter. It's one of my favorite things lately, and I don't think I’ll be getting tired of it anytime soon . . . or ever. It's amazing software and I love it!

Jen:

There’s so much to love in our new annual catalog. I recently won a little Stampin’ Up! product certificate from our health fair at the home office. I’ve been holding off on redeeming my certificate so I could get my favorite new things:

  • Tag a Bag Bundle – I’m thrilled to have Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay back! I love the colors in the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit. They’re versatile and bright, and I can’t wait to use them for treat bags. And they’re a great value at $9.95 for the bundle.
  • Thanks & Hello Stamp Set – Thanks & Hello are also versatile. I send more cards with “Thanks” or “Just because” than anything else. They’re sure to be a “go-to” set in my collection at home.
  • Crushed Curry 3/4" Chevron Ribbon – I love adding ribbon to gifts and treats. With the chevron pattern in crushed curry and white, it was love at first sight!

We hope that you are enjoying the new annual catalog as much as we are. And we’d love to hear what’s on the top of your shopping list . . . !

VIDEO: Bloopers & Stamp Fails 2012 – Part II The Holiday Edition

Ho-ho-hooooouch - it's the Holiday Edition of my video bloopers and stamp fails! I'm not sure what it says about me that I have another blooper edition so soon, except that I make a LOT of boo-boos. Holiday crafting gone wrong, and oh so funny! In this edition you get to meet my dog, Flash. He's a star, or so he thinks. What rating do "naked rhinestones" bring us too? Or how about the infamous "sticky strip fail?!?!" I'm sure some of you can relate to that one. Hope you enjoy this compilation of silliness and stamping blunders.
