This dual interactive shaker card is a real wow! I designed it with the Stampin' Up Bottled Happiness stamp set along with coordinating Vintage Bottle Punch and Vintage Bottle Shaker Domes. It has real liquid in it giving it the look of a red wine bottle. In addition to the liquid shaker, it's also a pop up step panel card.

I made this card for my son's 21st birthday. It's a special "21" shaker card using the Stampin Up Stitched All Around stamp set, and the Large Number Dies (retired).
The words are heat embossed in gold. The sequins inside are from the Metallics Sequin Assortment.
Here's a picture of him on his birthday. I loved this sign, it was perfect!

When I think of summer, I think of vacations with the kids, playing at the lake, going to the amusement parks and taking lots and lots of pictures. So naturally, the new Stampin' Up Capture the Good stamp set fit in perfectly with this theme for me. What was old is new. I repurposed an old "Waterfall Card Technique" into an interactive Photo booth Filmstrip card. I combined the Capture the Good Stamp set with the stinkin' cute cows in the new Over the Moon stamp set. And added some background texture with the Artisan Textures stamp set. The Waterfall Technique isn't the only cool trick I'll share in today's video class. I'll share a cool trick on how to stamp any image or words in the lens (Center) of the camera image. I liked the calendar that came in the kit, but wanted it to stand up, so I found this stand online to display it on my desk. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT RETIRING IN COLORS
One of the many awesome features of Stampin Up products is our color coordination. Everything matches, it’s like Gar-animals. Remember those clothes when we were kids? The monkey tags went with the monkeys, making it easy to dress your kids in matching clothes. Stampin up is like the Gar-animals of paper crafts lol. Stampin Up has 5 Color Collections: Regals, Subtles, Brights, Neutrals and In Colors. The In Color collection is a little different from our Core Collection. Each year 5 of these 10 colors go away, and we get 5 new colors. It’s a great way to introduce fresh and trendy colors. The In Color Collections are named by the year they were introduced and the year they will be retired. For example the collection retiring this spring is named 2017-2019 In Colors. They are retired with the Annual Catalog in the spring. This year’s catalog will be officially retiring May 31, 2018 (marked on the back of the annual catalog). You can find (and request) the Catalogs online on my blog under the CATALOGS AND RESOURCES tab. The date of the 2018 Retiring List announcement has not been made yet. Probably will be the end of April or May. Currently, I do not know what else is retiring, nor have the new collection of In colors been announced. I’ll post this info as soon as it’s announced. I’m giving you this head’s up so you can start budgeting your purchases and collecting the products you want with these colors before they sell out. They often sell out within days of the Retirement list being announced. I recommend stocking up on these products now, especially ink pad refills and card stock. This way, you’ll have everything you need when the list is announced and won’t have to worry about quick sell-outs. Receiving my Paper Pumpkin kit is one of my favorite times of the month, and definitely the best package in my mailbox. So when I was away on vacation over Paper Pumpkin's Positively Picturesque arrival, I was pretty sad. Well I was happy about my trip, but sad thinking about poor Paper Pumpkin being held at the post office waiting. By the time I arrived home, and my mail was delivered it was almost the end of July and even though the kit was a new present for me. The reveal was pretty old for all of you who've already received yours. Today's card technique is called the "Curtain Fold" or "Drapery Fold". It's surprisingly easy, and really enhances the double sided designer paper. This card was created by my friend Martha for our Stamp It Demonstrator group card swap. She used the Botanical Builders bundle (matching stamps, paper and framelits) to pull it all together. This is a gorgeous, super fun and super quick card. It's very versatile, great for so many occasions. Simply change the greeting to make it a birthday, sympathy, thank you and/or congratulations. Perfect design to stamp a bunch and have them on hand.

Looking for some fun homemade gift ideas for teachers, neighbors, friends and family? I've got you covered! Make some "no stress" Moose Munch (or Reindeer Food) with my friend Michelle Zindorf's recipe below. It's so easy even I could make it, and I'm not much of a cook or baker. My friend Shayna and I had a lot of fun making a batch of each of these for the holidays this past weekend.
I've put a quick video together to show you how to make this adorable Moose Munch tag, colored with Blendabilites markers. I created a downloadable pdf file for it, you can simple save and print it on Whisper White card stock. Cut out with the Stampin Up Labels Framelits, then stamp and color. Voila! Do the same when making the Santa "reindeer food" treats, except you will stamp first, then cut out with the Star Framelits.
The Moose stamp comes from the "Walk in the Wild" stamp set. I had my own "wild" experience this weekend when I walked out my back door and a Bald Eagle flew by me!!!!! A bald Eagle....in Marlboro, Mass?!?! I just stood there in shock watching him soar and swoop down in the lake, thinking I must be imagining this. Surely, I'm mistaken, surely this could not possibly be a real bald eagle. But it WAS a Bald Eagle! I got a couple of pictures and a video (click here). I've never heard of one anywhere near here before, it was quite the experience to have him right in my back yard. Still pretty excited to have seen him, and honored that he choose the pine tree next door to perch in.

VIDEO: Taste the Rainbow of Butterflies Card

Wowzers!!! This card is just fabulous. I'm calling it "Taste the Rainbow of Butterflies". One of my friends received it as a swap card at Stampin Up's convention last week, and from the minute she got it, the card went "viral" hehehe!! First it happened in person, when it got passed around our group so everyone could take a picture of it. Then the surrounding rows caught sight of the card, and everyone wanted a shot of it. I posted my picture of the card on my Facebook Page from the convention, and it was an instant success. There were so many responses and emails about it, I promised to share a video tutorial when I got back...so here I am, as promised:)
It's almost like a rainbow of the new 2013-15 In Colors: Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and don't miss the card base of Baked Brown Sugar. The butterflies are from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set, and the Petite Pairs stamp set makes the card extremely versatile as you can simply swap out the birthday greeting for any occasion.

Leadership – Advisory Board Breakfast

Here are some more pictures from Stampin' Up!'s Leadership event in Nashville. Today's memories and cool ideas are from our Advisory Board breakfast. This is a tradition where SU's AB alumni gather with the corporate team and visit. This particular day was a beautiful memory, the restaurant was in the Opryland and it was breathtaking in and of itself. The tables were set just perfectly. And we special gift, a stamp set 
that isn't coming out until Spring! How exciting. I can't show the actual set yet, but I did include a picture of the gorgeous package it came in using the Out West Stamp Set (#117052 wood, 120543 clear mount).
