It's not too soon to start planning a little something special for the mom's in our lives. This beautiful Mother's Day card was created with the Stampin' Up! Tea Together stamp set (Occasions Catalog) and coordinating Tea Time Framelits (Sale-a-bration). The images were colored with the Stampin' Blends markers. The beautiful oval is from the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper. A touch of watercoloing on the watercolor paper before cutting out the designs gives this card some special pizzaz. The background was textured with the Pinewood Planks impressions folder. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT RETIRING IN COLORS
One of the many awesome features of Stampin Up products is our color coordination. Everything matches, it’s like Gar-animals. Remember those clothes when we were kids? The monkey tags went with the monkeys, making it easy to dress your kids in matching clothes. Stampin up is like the Gar-animals of paper crafts lol. Stampin Up has 5 Color Collections: Regals, Subtles, Brights, Neutrals and In Colors. See the color chart below for the full collection. The In Color collection is a little different from our Core Collection. It's broken down into 2 groups of 5. Each year 5 of these 10 colors go away, and we get 5 new colors. It’s a great way to introduce fresh and trendy colors. The In Color Collections are named by the year they were introduced and the year they will be retired. For example the collection retiring this year is named 2017-2019 In Colors. They are retired with the Annual Catalog officially retiring June 3, 2019 (the date is marked on the back of the annual catalog). Once announced, these retiring In Color products will be "whiles supplies last" and often sell out quickly. See the video below for full details. RETIRING COLORS Head's Up I’m giving you this head’s up so you can start budgeting your purchases and collecting the In color products you want now. I recommend stocking up on ink pad refills and card stock in these colors now. This way you won’t have to worry about quick sell-outs and missing out on your fav colors. Some of these products will sell out within days of the Retirement list being announced. A full list of products containing these colors is on the "What you need to know" video, and also listed below. Combine with Sale-a-bration! Purchase before March 31 and combine with Sale-a-bration (SAB) and get free products. Click here for SAB details When will the 2019 retirement list be announced? Both the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog & the Occasions Catalog will be ending on June 3. The list of products that will be discontinued (not carried over into the new catalog) is called the "Retirement List". The official date of this year's retirement list release has not been announced, but it will most likely be in mid-April. I do not know what else is retiring yet. My card share today is near and dear to my heart, in fact it left a "paw print" on my heart. It is a set of dog / kitty cards for the animal lovers. Be it sympathy, welcoming a new pet or encouragement. The triple time technique is one of my favs. It's quick and easy, and looks super cool.I'm also sharing a dog and cat silhouette card.
I have a "how to" video for these cards. It's created with the Stampin' Up Happy Tails stamp set and Dog punch, or the Nine Lives (cat) stamp set and Cat Punch.

The textured pattern on the 2 corners of the card were made with the Stitched Labels Framlits Dies. This card packs a bunch of "wow" into it's beautiful and bright colors. The pop of the Mango Melody and Lemon Lime Twist over Black and White is striking. The flower image is stamped with the Stampin' Up! Healing Hugs stamp set. The words come from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. The black and white checked and polka dot designs are from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. This lion is "wild about you"! Created from the Stampin' Up! A Little Wild stamp set and the coordinating Little Loves framelits dies. The lion is colored with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The Pool Party blue background was made by cutting a "mask" out of scrap paper using the Layering Circles dies. Then sponge dauber the Pool Party ink to create this soft affect.
