VIDEO: Open Sleigh “Shadow” on Brayered Resist Background

stampin up open sleigh cardToday's card is a real "WOW", and the video tutorial is packed full of tips and techniques. I designed this Christmas card for a Stampin Up Demonstrator card swap that I participated in this week. The theme was the 2015 Holiday Catalog products. Techniques included in this video are heat embossing, brayer resist and edgelit die shadowing. I also included the tip on priming your edgelits/framelits with a dryer sheet the first time you use them.

CARD: Simply Sports Baseball Birthday

stampin up simply sports card baseball"Happy Birthday, Sport!" for the baseball/softball lover in your life. From the Little League, to the Major League this one will be a hit (pun intended). From the Stampin Up Simply Sports Stamp Set, which is quite the tongue twister. The stars on the background are from the Pictogram Punches stamp set. The circle "ball" was cut from the Circles Framelits, the stitching was drawn with a Real red stampin write marker. This was one of my convention swaps showcased in my "swap video". I thought I knew exactly how to make it, and then BAM my leaves looked didn't look anything like Lynda Wilson's . So we are learning this neat technique together. VIDEO: July Paper Pumpkin “Outside the Box” Thanks A Latte

stampin up paper pumpkin thanks a latte "Thanks a Latte" is the name of the July 2015 Stampin Up Paper Pumpkin kit and exclusive stamp set. It's flippin' adorable, and I had fun going "outside the box" with the stamps and accessories for this card. I've created a video tutorial for it, in which I will also ask for your help on a random question about freeze pops. The PP kit July exclusive stamp set includes line art and solid images, also has 2 Classic Stampin’ Spots: Early Espresso and Cucumber Crush. Accent stickers, background paper, paper clip, bow, and striped envelopes. It also came with instructions to make some super cute cards you can see in both videos below. I've included more outside the box creations from Stampin Up below.
