EASTER PROJECT ideas from Stampin’ Up!

Here are some fantastic and fun Easter Projects from Cindy B, staff writer at Stampin' Up:

Need a few last-minute Easter ideas to bring a little sparkle to the holiday? We’re here to help!

To draw out the holiday fun, why not persuade Easter Bunny to leave some magic jelly beans in a seed packet? (Saw this one on Pinterest and decided to make my own version . . . using the This and That Epic Day MDS download.) I “planted” my jelly beans in crinkle paper, but kids would love doing this outside . . . in the dirt! In the morning, lollipops appear where the jelly beans had been!

P.S. Easter Bunny knows that there is a misspelling on the card. He apologizes . . . but typing is such a chore with his big, furry paws! He assures me that this one is error-free!

You could also use MDS (adhere printed, cut-out, MDS-created images with Stampin’ Dimensionals) and This and That products to create super-quick Easter egg decorations. Use empty, clean egg shells and decorate them with our Epic Day This and That Designer Washi Tape or Designer Stickers. Or draw on the empty egg shells using Stampin’ Write Markers.

Here’s another fun idea that will make Easter magic for the little ones. Your Easter Bunny could be a little messy and leave tracks . . . as you can see here!

Create a footprint template using the Large Oval and Small Punches and cardstock. Sprinkle the template with flour, lift, and you have a cute, little paw print!

Don’t forget, our Fabric Frenzy Sale is going on through Sunday, March 31. Why not try this fabric-friendly idea that you could use for Easter or Mother’s Day gifts or pins: easy fabric flowers made using our Designer Fabric, the Big Shot, and the 3-1/2" Circle Originals Bigz Die. These are so fun to make and take just minutes. Or . . . just decorate a kraft gift bag with fabric circles. It’s so easy!

Have a very Happy Easter . . . from all of us here at Stampin’ Up!

VIDEO: Double Swing in The Open Sea Card

open sea flip-stampwithtami-group

You'll "flip" for today's video tutorial featuring the "double flip" fun card fold technique with the Labels Framelits and The Open Sea stamp set. A cool and fun flip fold card is as much a toy as it is a card. The schooner / ship from the Open Sea is one my favs, and it also makes a great "man card". Good masculine theme cards are so hard to find. Designed by Kathie Rotti.

CARD: Punch Art Chickie

punch art chickie-stampwithtami-brenda riveraContinuing on with our punch art themed Easter projects, here is a super stinkin' cutie from Brenda Rivera. The background is done with the Oval framelits, the chickie is the 1-3/8" circle punch with the bird builder punch for wings! The owl punch for his eyes and feet.

The designer paper is from the SAB Sycamore Street collection and can be easily switched out for World Spectacular or Floral District.

CARD: Happy Easter Everybunny Punch Fun

punch everybunny-stampwithtami-1

Happy Easter Everybunny - stinkin' cuteness alert!!! This super cute Easter Bunny can be a card, or a tag. He was made from Stampin' Up! punches and the Scallop Circle Bigz die for his body shape. A little punching and sponging brings him to life. Add a little fishing line for his whiskers and he's perfectly adorable!!

CARD: Punch Art Flowers Scallop Fold

punch art flowers-stampwithtamiSimple, classic and elegant...those are words I would use to describe this card. Oh wait...I forgot beautiful!!! The flowers and vase/pot were all created with Stampin' Up! Punches. The tulips are the wing to the bird punch, the vase is Extra-Large oval punch (top and bottom snipped off). Another wonderful part of this card is it's versatility. Simply changing the words from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, you can make this card useful for any occasion: birthday, sympathy, Easter, Mother's Day, anniversary, etc.

Did you notice the Scallop Square die folded in half to make the note card? Cool isn't it? I did a video several years ago on how to make this "book binding" edge with the Scallop Square die. This card fold can be created the same way.

happy hour-gift card holder duo-stampwithtamiIt's Friday, Friday - got to get down on Friday {insert remainder of Rebecca Black song here}...here's another fun TGIF card from the Happy Hour stamp set. This time in the form of a gift card holder. I love the Margarita / fun drink glass with the lime. The rim of the glass even has Dazzling Details glitter like "salt"...so stinkin' cute! The glass image is layered on a "belly band"aka: "Garter belt" that you remove to open, revealing the gift card. Created by Liz Miller.

Scored: 3" & 7-1/4"

CARD: Twisted Easel “Dress Up” card from Liz

Stampin' Up! Easel card Today's super cool "twisted easel" card comes from my friend Liz Miller (Stampin' with Liz)

Do you love fun folds? I used the “twisted easel” fold for this card! I am loving these dress forms and the vanilla flower trim! The photo below is at a weird angle…sorry about that!

PROJECT: Oval Bunny Easter Basket

Today's stinkin' cute Easter Bunny Basket project is from Carrie Cudney ( Stampin' Up!).

I can’t believe how fast Easter is coming up this year! My calendar is quickly filling up with egg hunts, classroom parties, and family dinners—so I’ve been playing with some different ideas for little favors and treats. Today, I wanted to share one of my favorites with you!

Didn’t he turn out cute? Plus he’s really simple and quick to put together.

I had some More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper left over from Valentine’s Day projects, so I used that and Naturals Ivory Cardstock. I stamped my cardstock with the Distressed Dots Background Stamp and embossed it with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder to give it some texture. After that, I used a few dies and punches to build my Easter Bunny.

~ Carrie

VIDEO: Easter Blessings Card

club-easter blessings-stampwithtamiFocusing on Easter with today's video tutorial featuring the Easter Blessings single stamp in the Spring Catalog, and the Nature Walk stamp set. I'll show you how to create a stamped image with multiple colors on a single stamp using Stampin' Write markers. Believe it or not, no ink pads were opened in the making of this video lol. There's another cool tip on "softening" up the colors after you've stamped them, to give the "shading" effect...it's so easy you'll flip! We'll also do a little paper-piercing.

Inspired by my friend Lee Conrey.

CARD: Trust god you are a ‘Work of Art’

papillon potpourri-stampwithtami The message on this card seemed like the perfect share after returning from a weekend with my boys. We attended a Teen Retreat with the church Youth Group. It was an amazing weekend that I was blessed to be a part of. "Each one of us is God's special work of art" ~ So true!!

The words are from the Trust God stamp set, the butterfly is from Papillon Potpourri. What really makes this card "pop" is the layering of the butterfly (see close up below). The butterlfies in this set match the punches, making the layers simple and easy. The bottom section of the butterfly was raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals once. The upper wings were raised up in two layers. Just a touch of sponging under the butterfly creates a stunning effect!

CARD: By the Seashore Part II

by the seashore-stampwithtami-1Here is Part 2 my By the Seashore stamp set "mini series", getting us ready for some summertime fun. Created by my friend, Cheryl Flynn. The words "Live in the Sunshine by Ralph Waldo Emerson" are from the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set. Sorry, I didn't realize the bow was covering the words in the picture until it was too late. This card just make me happy! I love the polka dot parade dsp, the colors (real red , marina mist and whisper white) and the elements (the scallop edgelit, chevron emboss folder and polka dot ribbon) are all "just right".

CARD: By the Seashore Part I

by the seashore-stampwithtamiI'm starting a "mini series" of cards featuring the Stampin' Up! By the Seashore stamp set. This is a really pretty set in the annual catalog, it has shells, starfish, sand dollar and a crab. My friend, and sister demo, Cheryl Flynn created this card.

There is more than meets the eye, the shell panel and "Dream" layers are spritzed with Shimmer mist (Champagne Shimmer mist and alcohol mixture) which give it a real "pow" in person. The Natural composition paper is embossed with the Delicate Designs impression folder at the bottom. Apothecary Accents Framelits on the top panels for the gorgeous shape.

VIDEO: Mosaic Stamping Technique from Diane

Stampin' Up! distress tool and mosiac collage video I'm thrilled for today's guest blogger, Diane Giarrusso of Diane Stamps, to share these super cool techniques.

"Today’s video tutorial shows you how to use Stampin’ Up!’s new Stampin’ Distress Tool to make a rough edge on your card stock. No more finger nails for me! VIDEO TUTORIAL: Easter Cross Card

easter cross card-stampwithtamiDoes Easter feel like it's sneaking up on anyone else this year? I know when it is, I know that Lent has started, and yet I just realized Easter is only a few weeks away! Time to get started on some Easter cards. This card idea came from a display at a Stampin' Up! event I attended, and I just loved it. This is such a perfect religious Easter Card, because sometimes "Bunnies" and "eggs" aren't the right fit for your recipient. The perfect plum taffeta ribbon, over the cross is that finishing touch that makes you say "WOW".

As an alternative to Whisper white card stock, you can also use the Stampin' Up! Note Cards and envelopes for this card base.
