Partial Impressions Emboss – Vellum

partial-impress-flowersContinuing on with my series on partial impressions embossing, today's gorgeous card sample shows this technique on Stampin' Up! Vellum Card Stock(101856). I love working with vellum, and when you run it through the Big Shot impressions folder, the embossed design is "frosted" and super cool. I layered the embossed vellum over very vanilla card stock, using a sahara sand card base. The flowers on this card were created using two punches: Blossom Petals (121808) & 2 step Bird Punches (117191). The flower itself is 2 of the same blossom Petals (larger petal) I cut the top off one and sponged the edges. Frayed Daffodil Delight grosgrain ribbon (120928) in between. Greeting is Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370) in the Word Window Punch (119857), this card be used for any occasion simply by changing the words.

Partial Impressions Emboss – Wedding Invitations

partial-impress-wedding1Wedding invitation samples are popular requests in the spring. Many brides-to-be love handmade invitations and favors for their big day, it really adds the personal touch to this special event. I have many samples on the blog (see link below), today's card samples are 2 different versions of the same wedding invitation using the Partial Impressions folder emboss technique. The top invitation has a center fold opening, and a coordinating "belly band". Colors are Early Espresso and Blushing Bride. The inside uses the partial emboss on the right side. The outside folds were embossed as well. The invitation below is a "postcard" style. Both were printed on 8 1/2" x 11 card stock to fit 4 on a sheet (size can be adjusted to suit your style), then embossed (see video link below).

Partial Impressions Emboss – Wood Cut

partial-impress-wood-cutDid you know you can use the Big Shot to cut and emboss our Stampin' Up! Wood Sheet texture cuts (116309)? I used the partial emboss technique on this card, and it looks like the design was carved into the wood! Is is super cool. Other SU embellishments on this card are the Pearl Jewels (119247), Vanilla Rosettes (118774) from the Occasions mini catalog, and Pear Pizzazz stitched-poly ribbon (119265).

Partial Impressions Emboss Technique – Part 2

partial-impress-keyHere is another sample using the Partial Impressions Folder emboss technique I shared at the Hartford Regional last week. I impressed the basic black card stock, then sponged whisper white craft ink lightly over the embossed area to make it "pop"! It's layered on iveroy naturals cards stock. Over Stampin' Up! products I used were: Trinket Keys (121892), You're a Gem Stamp Set (122268 wood, 122270 clear mount), Black Striped grosgrain ribbon (115615), Brushed Silver Card Stock (100712).

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Partial Impressions Folders

punch-bunch2This past week I presented the Partial Impressions Folder Embossing technique at Stampin' Up!'s Regional event in Hartford, CT. I originally shared this cool technique with my Stamp Club members, they voted it up for my "Wow" presentation choice to demo for the event. Partial impressions folder embossing technique is a new twist on the shape/frame impressions folder designs we did last year (see below for links to these techniques). Stay tuned to my blog this week for more projects using this cool technique.

Blossom Petal Punch & Punch Bunch WOW

punch-bunch1I am in love with this card, created by my friend Cindy Peterson. Cindy used the Punch Bunch - Sale a Bration stamp set (earn this free thru March 31), along with Love Letter designer series paper (117162), the Blossoms Petals Punch (121808), various SU circle punches and Black Striped Ribbon (115615).

Hartford, CT Regional Event

p3185657This past weekend Stampin' Up was in Hartford, CT doing a Regional event for demonstrators and guests. I presented a "workshop wow" technique called "Partial Impression folder embossing", it was a lot of fun. I promise to share a video and my samples here soon. This first picture is of my group that attended the Friday event. We had such a blast.

Elegant Soiree samples

p3035545Here are a couple of cards showing one of my favorite designer papers: Elegant Soiree (117163). The first card also uses the Fun Flowers die (121812) for the Big Shot and Elegant Lines impressions folder (119277). The next card uses the new Framed Tulips Impressions folder (121809) from the Occasions mini catalog.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Puff the Magic Dragon

puff-tami-whiteSing along with me..."Puff, the Magic Dragon, lived by the sea...". Breaking out my Stinkin' Cute-o-meterout for this super cutey. This dragon is perfect for a child's birthday invitation or birthday card. Heck I know a few adults who'd flip for him. Created mostly from Stampin' Up punches, he is super easy to make. Be sure to download the inspiration sheet below for the listing of punches and pieces to create Puff.

Vintage Springtime Matchbox Messages

p3035542I love the beautiful designs and colors in the Springtime Vintage designer series paper (121782) in the 2011 Occasions mini catalog. It looks so pretty with everything. This gorgeous card uses the several different of the designs from the paper set. The stamp set is Matchbox Messages 113800. Also from the Occasions mini catalog: Always Artichoke Seam Binding ribbon (121000) and and the Fun Flowers Bigz L die (121812) for the Big Shot die cut machine.

Greetings, Earthling Kid fun

p30355401This is such a fun card idea for kids. It uses the Greetings, Earthling alien/martian stamp set (113810). Stamp the characters in basic black, and leave them to be colored by the child. Attach 2 crayons with a ribbon and a glue dot. Who wouldn't love this darling card? It would make a fun birthday invitation as well. The Top note die (113463) for the Big shot adds the perfect touch.
