Ever since Stampin Up shared a "sneak peek" of the Bold Botanicals stamp set that was coming in this month's Paper Pumpkin kit, I've been stalking the mailman waiting for it to arrive lol!! I couldn't wait to play with this kit, it's super cute.

My apologies for being a little late getting my July paper pumpkin kit alternate projects out to you. I really wanted to play with the kit sooner, but my traveling the past few weeks put me a little behind schedule. I am very happy to finally get to play with the July "What a Gem" kit. It was so much fun. In my alternate project video, I'll show you how to make the mason jar card. This card was designed by Beth Arnold. My original card is below. It's fun too. I was just preparing to video my card when I saw Beth's and fell in love with it and have a complete change of plans hahaha. Which card do you like better? I always love to make something "outside the box" when my Stampin Up Paper Pumpkin arrives each month. This month I combined the June "Banner Surprise" PP kit with the new Jar of Love stamp set and framelits to make this super cool shaker card. I loved the mega bag of sequins that came in the kit! so very fun. TIPS & TRICKS: On the video below, I'll show you a few tips and tricks. Including a tip on cutting the Mason Jar for a shaker/window card. I apologize for being a little late with my May Paper Pumpkin alternate projects and giveaway. The kit arrived while I was on vacation, and when I got back the new Stampin Up catalog released and poor Paper Pumpkin had to take a "back seat" to all of the new goodies. It was so much fun to be able to finally sit down and play with this kit! I didn't just make 1 alternate project, I continued on with the extra pieces and created 8 Inspirational Note Cards. The 2015-16 Stampin Up Catalog is almost here! As demonstrators we can pre-order select "sneak peek" stamps and some accessories in May (see demo website for details on pre-order).
To kick it off, I'm hosting a card front swap open to all demonstrators. A great way to get some fresh ideas to show your customers, and use as class projects.
5+1 Cardfronts
- make 6 cards total (same design)
- you will receive 5 back (one for the hostess)
- you will not receive your own back
- You can do up to 2 sets (2 different sets of 5+1) to receive more swaps back

- Main Stamp Set / accessories used from the Pre-Order Use of new designer papers, etc is encouraged DO NOT USE: Any retiring stamp sets, accessories or products from Occasions Catalog that is not being carried over

Today's card is a sympathy card, the "thinking of you" comes from the new Sheltering Tree stamp set. The butterfly is from the Butterfly Basics bundle (stamps and framelits). The top background is from the Painted Blooms designer paper, the bottom is the new Irresistibly Yours specialty paper (free during Sale-a-bration) sponged with wild wasbi. Designed by Veronica.

Another great stamp set that is disappearing forever on June 2....the One Tag Fits All stamp set in the Stampin Up Occasions catalog. The center "window" is punched with the Note Tag punch. Soft color created using the Blender pens and ink pads.

CARD: Happy Birthday from Indescribable Gift

This is a beautiful card created with the Indescribable Gift stamp set in the Stampin Up Occasions catalog. The flowers are colored with ink pads and blender pens. the the entire image panel was embossed with Iridescent Ice emboss powder. It's a sparkly beauty. Sadly, this gorgeous stamp set is not being carried over into the new catalog and will be discontinued as of June 2, 2015. Designed by Sharon Burkert.

Such a pretty stamp set and it is not being carried over into the new catalog, which means it's gone as of June 2...bummer:( Other stamp sets on this card are Crazy About You and Something Lacy.

Today's video is a beautiful window card created with the Stampin Up Indescribable Gift stamp set in the Occasions catalog. This technique of blending on vellum is soft, and easy, and a spin on the "stained glass" technique.
Note: The 2015 Occasions catalog is ending June 2, 2015 and this stamp set is not being carried over into the new catalog. Be sure to get it and all of the retiring products before they're gone forever.

CARD: Happy “Rock n Roll” Birthday Card & Technique Video

The Stampin Up Four Feathers stamp set and coordinating framelit dies originally made their debut in 2014 in the Holiday catalog. They were carried over into the 2015 Occasions catalog and still very popular. Like this card says, they make everything "Happy". Coupled with the "Hello You" thinlits, and the Crazy About You & Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets.
This card, designed by Alison Solvent, uses the "rock n roll" technique with Bermuda Bay and Pool Party inks. Simply stamp the feathers in the little color, the roll the edges in the darker and BAM...You're a rock star!
CARD: You’re a Gem – bling bling

There is nothing like gold and diamonds to tell someone they are the "best". This fun "You're a gem" card comes from the Stampin Up "One Tag Fits All" stamp set in the Occasions catalog. I love the embossed gold foil, with the Decorative dots folder. It really looks like metal! Designed by Kim Williams.
