Join me for today’s video and learn how to create this beautiful lattice textured background, along with some watercoloing tips using aqua painters, ink pad refills and Stampin’ Up’s watercolor paper. This stamp set is brand new called From the Garden stamp set from the new Stampin Up 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog. This set is very dear to me, I received it as a gift at the SU Founder’s Circle retreat (in Sept 2009) and I have been (not so) patiently waiting to use it hehehe.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: A Christmas Cardinal

Wowzers, today’s video tutorial is packed full of fabulous techniques including watercoloring, creating this super cool oval textured background, a shimmery background and this super cute mini flag banner. I apologize for my cold, don’t laugh at my voice too much.
Learn how to create this oval background with a piece of Stampin’ Up Chipboard and the scallop oval die…true story, you’re going to flip when you see it. Use this over and over again on all of the texture plates. Plus a little cheat in creating this shimmery background (which is really hard to see in the video but super cool in person) - shhhh…don’t tell anyone. DOWNLOAD PRINTABLE SUPPLY LIST >

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Autumn Harvest Watercoloring

I’ve received so many requests for more info on this card since we made it in my stamp club when the stamp set made it’s debut, that I thought it would be a perfect tutorial for video (since watercoloring is hard to describe with words). The set is called Autumn Harvest (#110372) from Stampin’ Up, I used the pumpkin pie and old olive classic ink pad refills and an aquapainter. Paper is ivory confetti, Old olive and pumpkin pie.
