Video: New Framelit Dies

Posted on January 20th, 2012, no responses.

take-it-to-heart-framelit-videoThe innovative, thin, wafer-life design of these dies lets you see where you’re placing the design before you cut! Layer dies inside each other to cut frames for stamp images.

Cut single hearts or labels for accetns or layering. Framelits Dies look very different from other dies in the Stampin’ Up! product line, but the opportunities are endless when you use them in your craft projects.

Here is a quick video demoing these new babies:

Tamis Tip: From Clear Blocks to iPads

Posted on September 5th, 2011, no responses.

cleaning-cloth-ipad-phoneTami’s Tip: Clear Block Cleaning Cloths…more than meets the eye!

Taking a quick break from stamping to share an alternate use for our Clear Block Cleaning pads (121779). We all have strange quirks right? I’m ready to go public with one of mine…fingerprints on my cell phone touch screen! Stop laughing. I’m constantly wiping my phone on my pants to clean it, and it doesn’t work that great. Then by accident one day I reached for the SU Clear block cleaning cloth, and it ROCKED! From clear blocks to your electronics.

This video shows how to use your cloths to clean the Stampin’ Up Clear-Mount acrylic blocks, as well as how quick and easy these microfiber cloths clean the touch screens of your electronics such as your ipad (or any tablet), smart phone (iphone, etc), ipod touch and more. I love it when a product has more than one use! This tip is also a hint of where my next video inspiration came from (my kids favorite game)…and that’s all I’m saying. Stay tuned for that fun card and soooo much more.

heart-tamiToday’s video project is a versatile card, perfect for Valentine’s Day, and also works for birthdays, wedding or sympathy. It features a cool masking technique using the heart punch. I love working with vellum, it’s so elegant. And the paper piercing tool accompanied with the mat pack template give the corners a perfect touch.

BONUS: I’m including a quick tutorial on how use the Stampin’ Up! clear mount stamps. Card designed by my downline Linda Cullen.

2009-12-sneak-peek-stamps12009-12-sneak-peek-stamps22009-12-sneak-peek-stamps3Taste Great, Less Filling! Remember that commercial for beer? There were 2 sides and they would debate which was better, the taste or the calorie count. At the end of the ad both sides were winners when the 1 beer satisfied both taste and less filling. Well Now Stampin’ Up satisfies both wood mount (taste great) and acrylic “clear mount” (less filling…I mean takes up less space) stampers with their new choice…read on or just cut right to the video (below), I know you’re dying to see it hehehe…

Stampin’ Up is coming out with new clear mount” rubber stamps in the new 2010 Occasions Mini catalog. The catalog debuts January 5, and I’m doing a 4 part “sneak peek” series of videos showcasing the new products. Today’s video shows off the new stamps, the cool cases they store in and the clear block system. Not to be confused with “acrylic stamps”, these are the same great quality rubber stamps, the fabulous storage system means you can store more in smaller space AND see thru your clear block so you can see exactly where you are stamping.

Save 10% off retail & get a FREE STAMP SET by purchasing 118491 Clear Block Bundle Jan 5 - March 30.

See what it’s all about here!

VIDEO: Calendar using Templates plus Printing

Posted on December 26th, 2009, 2 responses.

200912-calendarI made calendars for our family, and all of the grandparents in Stampin’ Up’s My Digital Studio software. The video below shows some of the customizing I did, and how cool the professional printing is. Click the SHARE PROJECT tab in the program for both professional printing and home printing options right from the MDS program.

CALENDAR DETAILS: I used the digital Hoppy Days scrapbook kit template & 2010 Calendar template for the basic layouts (I’ll post the steps to do this below), these templates come with the MDS software program. I customized some of the layouts by changing photo layouts and adding backgrounds to the calendar. I added a Birthday Candle stamp, and name for each family member’s birthday (this might be hard to see in images). I changed the background paper of the calendar date sections to match each page above it (for example when the background page was real red, the date section below is real red).

Finished size is 8 1/2″ x 11″ landscape. MDS Calendars also come in 8 1/2″ x 11″ portrait X 12″x12″.

INSTRUCTIONS:

 Steps to use a scrapbook template with your calendar template:

  • Open MDS (My Digital Studio) software
  • Choose “Multiple Output Options” (not Calendar)
  • Choose Calendar Size (your choice 12″x12″, 11″x8 1/2″ Landscape or portrait)
  • Choose “Designer” Template
  • Pick which scrapbook layout template you’d like to use and then choose “Next” {program will create project}
  • Click “Insert” > “Add Other Templates” {Template list will open}
  • Click on the Calendar Template of your choice, then click “Next
  • {Under Page Arrangement Section} REMOVE the photo pages, so all you have showing is the 12 monthly calendars
  • Click “Next” and import monthly calendars (they will import at the end of the project)
  • Drag the thumbnail images of each page at the bottom of MDS, monthly calendar date page will be after the page you want above it. You may need to copy (or insert) a few more scrapbook pages to fill the calendar.
  • Don’t forget to leave a cover page.
