VIDEO TUTORIAL: Bats in the Attic Card - Founders Circle Swap

Stampin’ Up invites the Top 100 Demonstrators in the company on a retreat the 3rd week in September, it is one of the highest honors in the company. I have been humbled to be a part of this event for the past 5 years! One of my favorite parts of the trip is a card front swap. These are the most fantastic swaps, and I can’t wait to participate each year. Of course this means I have to make 100+ of 1 card, but it’s soooo worth it.

This card is the design I chose for this year’s swap. I’m calling it “Bats in the Attic”. Click here for my earlier post containing pictures of the swap and my “Bats in the Attic” theme song. I designed this to look like a haunted window in an attic, complete with wood cut window pane and Raven lace curtains. Who doesn’t love glittery bats?! I loved this card so much, we did this in my stamp clubs and it was a huge hit!

I might have a Superhero Complex, but I just couldn’t stop after last week’s Batman Card & Box Set, thus my web-slinger Spiderman Card & Favor Box set video tutorial was born! VIDEO TUTORIAL: Rudolph’s Altered Nose Job

As promised, here are a couple samples from my Regional Presentation in Portland, Maine last week. My “Workshop Wow” technique was Altered 1/2 Pearls from the Stampin’ Up Pretties kit (109114).

Today’s video tutorial shows how to use Stampin’ Up Craft Ink and Clear Emboss powder with the 1/2 pearls. This card will put a smile on your face, it’s just plain fun! I’ll also show you how to create this super cool metallic background effect using shimmer paint, use the Crop-a-dile to set eyelets, once again a card jam packed with techniques. Here is another of my “Workshop Wow” presentation samples, it is a remake of the From the Crypt Halloween card we made at stamp club last month. During my local stamp club class, Peggy Bryant took one of the 1/2 pearls we were originally putting at the top of the card and stuck it on the spider body and VIOLA! A star-card is born! We “eeked and ahhhhed” - I love it when that happens! Thanks to Peggy, this spider card no only become my Founders Circle swap in September it was also the first of my regional presentations in Protland, ME. It was a team effort hehehe.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Twilight Vampire Card

This card idea was from my friend, Susan Adams. It uses 116521 Sweet Centers Stamp Set, 116802 Sweet Treat Cups, 116768 Night & Day Specialty Designer Paper, Real Red Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Basic Black Classic Ink pad, 109052 Real Red 5/8″ Grograin Ribbon, 109110 Circle Fire Brads, 112004 1 3/4″ Circle Punch & “Fright Bites” chocolate foil candy vampire teeth/lips (from local drug store).

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Bleach Backgrounds from the Crypt

Today we’ll be creating a super cool background technique using Clorox Bleach! It’s a wow!

I’m on my way to St. George, UT today for Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Founder’s Circle retreat. This retreat is awarded to the Top 100 Demos in the company, I am honored and excited to be a part of it (click here for more info >). I am making a card very similar to this for my swaps (I’m making 120 swap cards…and will still be stamping on the plane hehehe).

This video also demonstrates how to color those 1/2 pearls in the Stampin’ Up Pretties kit. This card uses the From the Crypt (115460) & Grateful Greetings (116511) stamp sets, along with the Scallop Square punch (112081), Pretties kit (109114), and basic black embossing powder (109133) and heat tool (100005).

VIDEO: House of Haunts - brayered background

This is a super fun Halloween card I did on the TV show for an episode on brayered backgrounds (see video below). The stamp set is the House of Haunts (item #111574), one of my Halloween favorites…I just love this spooky house. Stampin’ Up Glossy card stock. The images are embossed in black.
