Can you say WOW! So amazing, and yet so simple to do. Today’s video offers some tips and tricks to masking this beautiful butterfly which include creating a “re-usable” mask. This single layer, “no-snail” card goes down as one of my favorites, thanks to the gorgeous “faux layer”!
This card idea came from my new addiction to Pinterest, and I searched high and low to find the original creator and came up empty handed. If you, or someone you love designed this beauty please drop me a note so I can give you proper credit and thank you!!!
The innovative, thin, wafer-life design of these dies lets you see where you’re placing the design before you cut! Layer dies inside each other to cut frames for stamp images.
Cut single hearts or labels for accetns or layering. Framelits Dies look very different from other dies in the Stampin’ Up! product line, but the opportunities are endless when you use them in your craft projects.
One of the benefits of using Sizzlit dies is the delicate and intricate designs they cut. Now, with Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Doily die #125592 you have the opportunity to create those beautiful detailed designs in a size that hasn’t been an option before. Create an intricate doily design from single layers of Designer Series Paper or card stock using this newly-sized larger Sizzlits die. Makes a delicate background on a card or a focal point on a frame. Doily image is approximately 4-1/4″ diameter.
Here is a quick video from Stampin’ Up! demonstrating how to use the new sizzlit die.
Cherry Scented?!! Seriously?!?! Shut the front door!!! True story, today’s card and video is an “Occasions mini Explosion” showing as many of Stampin’ Up!’s new toys from the Occasions mini catalog as I could possibly fit in one fabulously scented card. From Cherry scented emboss powder, to Adorning Accents Edgelits and Impressions folders and Doily die. For your entertainment, the video is complete with a funny story about just how good the cherry scent is, and my silly beagle…say no more…watch the video lol.
The Tea Shoppe stamp set makes it a great Valentine’s Day card, or switch out the “Teeny Tiny…everything” stamp set words for a different occasion.
Do you love using paper rosettes in your craft projects? Are you even frustrated with how long it takes to cut, score and fold the rosette properly? Try Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Rosette die#125594 and make rosettes for your next project in a flash. Let this die and your Big shot do the cutting for you and scoring for you. This die features 2 designer edges for different rosette styles and this quick video from Stampin’ Up shows how to make different sizes.
Today’s video is from my stamp club archives, I came across it the other day and fell in love with the card all over again. I “dusted off” the video and am re-broadcasting it publicly on YouTube for the very first time. Techniques include water coloring with Stampin’ Up Aqua Painters, and using the Stampin’ Write Markers in the Color Spritzer tool for the “splatter” effect. It would make a beautiful Valentine’s Day card, and it’s versatile enough to use for just about any occasion.
Yummy “Frosty” gift/treat, here comes Frosty the candy bar! This one is made of pure chocolate baby! Part 2 of 2 in my “Frosty the Snowman” series (be sure to check out Frosty the Telescoping Card for a super cool coordinating set). Give him alone, or attach a gift card to the back for the perfect special gift. Sooooo stinkin’ cute, over the top of Stinkin’ Cute-ness!
So unbelievably cool!! Part 1 of my 2 part series on Frosty the snowman is a WOW card, it rolls out into a 3 section snowman! This card is called a telescoping card. Not only is it great for Christmas Holidays, but it can be used for just about any winter theme party, birthday, etc. The idea came from a swap card I received last July from Andrea Shields, it’s been killing me to wait this long to share it hehehe!! So many cool ideas, so few days in the week to share them lol. I surprised my stamp club members with it this month, and it was a huge hit!
And check out the “sneak peak” of my next video, the 2nd part of this series on Frosty: Frosty the Hershey Bar!
Today’s video features a stunning, simple and sensational Christmas dove from the Stampin’ Up! Comfort & Joy stamp set found in the 2011 Holiday Mini catalog. You’ll also find the Snowburst impressions folder and new Pewter emboss powder in this publication as well! Heat embossing is always a WOW! This card was designed by Kay Smith.
How stinkin’ cute is this Santa Twizzler treat! Looooove it! A fun candy treat, featuring Stampin’ Up!’s new1″x8″ cello bags 124134. Included in the video, I’ll show a trick to getting your candy in the bag so easily, it will rock your world. You’ll also see the “power” of the SU Mini Glue Dots, big deals do come in “small” packages lol. Instead of twizzlers, you can use candy canes, m&ms candies and more. Mix it up for a super stinkin’ cute gift idea.
I love this card!! Such a beautiful and eye catching holiday card. This technique uses a super cool background technique that involves brayering on an impressions folder. It’s surprisingly easy to do…really, check out the video below for details. This card was created by my friend Mary Polcin.
Funny Note: this video was originally made last year for my club members, the ribbon punch was new at the time I was filmimg. So new, in fact, I didn’t even own it yet and had to borrow my mom’s punch lol! Of course I bought it immediately after making the card, and we have used it many times since (you’ll probably laugh at that part).
Swing into this super fun technique so easily, by checking out today’s video clip. Learn how to make this Double Swing card! So fun, the recipient of this card will flip when they open they open this card and the center piece “swings” to the inside!! This technique was shared by Deb Valder at Stampin’ Up! event.
You can purchase all of the supplies shown in this video by clicking the links below.
I used several techniques, including water coloring with aqua painters & ink pads. What I think is the coolest part, is something you don’t notice at first glance. The frame shape in the middle was created with the new Designer Frames Impression folder (123130), and it was embossed over the Square Lattice impressions folder (119976). I had some fun figuring out how to make this work, so one folder didn’t flatten out the other. Turns out I just had to fall back on the “partial impression embossing” technique that I presented at the SU Hartford, CT Regional Event (click here for video technique >). If you are a demonstrator, you will find this original presentation from the event on the 2011 Stampin’ Up! Workshop Wow DVD (That was a surprise! I didn’t even know it was being taped.)
Soooo stinkin’ cute, this Witch Boot Treat Box goodie holder is just to die for!! Perfect for Halloween. Inspired by the Dynamic Duo Susan Adams & Janet Baker (see theirs below). This witch is stylin’. Just insert candy into this fun box and you’ll be the hit of every Halloween party. Check out the video below and see how easy this fantastic project is. Change it up, make it white and use it for wedding favors and more!
To the right is another version of the box that Susan & Janet designed. Their witches boot uses the Mocha Morning Specialty paper (122366), and Silver Glimmer Paper (124117), instead of spritzing the shimmer paint we dabbed it on with sponge daubers.
