MY DIGITAL STUDIO PROJECTS
Projects created using Stampin’ Up! My Digital Studio Digtal Scrapbooking Software

October marks the 4th and final quarter of my 2012 My Digital Studio software (MDS) photo calendar pages. Visit Part 1 of this series for the main MDS stamp sets and elements I used throughout the calendar. The calendar is 8-1/2″x11 landscape layout.
October is a pic of my sister and I with my mom, taken in Florida. November uses images from the World Tour Stamp Brush set #119103. December is my favorite, I love this picture of the boys snorkeling. I took it from underneath them, then used teh MDS software to make the photo sepia. The star images are from the July Forth Stamp Brush Set #121072. Another cool thing about MDS downloads is they never retire, even when the stamp set does. You can still download their images from my store! I love that.

July marks the “3rd Quarter” of my 2012 My Digital Studio software (MDS) photo calendar pages. Visit Part 1 of this series for the main MDS stamp sets and elements I used throughout the calendar. The calendar is 8-1/2″x11 landscape layout.
July is dedicated to my oldest son. The “Imagine” came from the Tres Chic Stamp Brush Set #125772. I had some fun using photos as backgrounds with August and July. In August I used a picture taken of the City of Boston as my background, then added a photo of the boys on top. The clock image came from the Timeless Stamp Brush Set #121435. September I used my cruise to Alaska as my theme. The main photo was taken in front of a glacier, and then I used the glacier photo as the calendar portion background changing the opacity to make it softer.

Here are my “2nd Quarter” 2012 My Digital Studio software (MDS) photo calendar pages. Visit Part 1 of this series for the main MDS stamp sets and elements I used throughout the calendar. The calendar is 8-1/2″x11 landscape layout.
This first month, April, is my sister and her wedding in Key West, FL this past summer. For this page I used the Wedding Sweet Stamp Brush Set #121431. For May’s page, I let simplicity take over. The photos of the boys snorkeling and playing are the focus of this month’s layout. In June, the focus was on my youngest son, I wanted a “boy-ish” feel so I used the Extreme Elements Stamp Brush set #119099 to embellish his page.

Every year for Christmas I create photo calendars for the Grandparents. I was soooo excited when Stampin’ Up! came out with the My Digital Studio software (MDS). The MDS calendar options are far superior in both freedom to create, and in print quality, to services I’d used in the past. I have them professionally printed through the software, and they are a work of art when they arrive!
I’ve been hesitant to post these before Christmas because I didn’t want anyone getting a “sneak peek” of their gift ahead of time lol. They know they are getting calendars, but the pictures in them are the surprise. So if you see my parents, and Nana … don’t tell them … and Mom if you’re peaking “step away from the blog” at least until Monday lol!!!
This year I created an inspirational theme throughout the calendar. I love how them came out. Although I used many different stamp sets and elements the main images I will post the main MDS elements below. Here are the first 3 months, I’ll post the rest this week.

Is there anything My Digital Studio software can’t do? Recently I traveled to Illinois with my friends Christy Harsch (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) and BJ Peters (Minnesota) to visit Meg Loven. Christy was on fire with the coolest ideas, along with the beautiful Bonnet Box (click for video) she also showed us how to make t-shirts using My Digital Studio software and t-shirt transfers. It was amazingly EASY, and using this combo you can put anything on a t-shirt! WOW!
Simply create your design in MDS, anything you want, kids birthday parties, themed events, anything…then instead of printing on paper print on a T-Shirt transfer sheet (you can purchase these at a Wal Mart/Target or Office Supply type store). Cut out the image, and follow the directions on the T-Shirt transfer package to iron on. Christy used SU alphabets, punches (circles) designer paper and the Baroque Motiffs stamp set and if you look real close you’ll see she made Mickey Mouse out of the circle punches! STINKIN’ CUTE! This is because the Stampin’ Up! incentive trip we are earning right now is Disney World, and I’m going WAHOOO!!!

I am in love with the My Digital Studio Calendars! There, I’ve said it out loud. These are incredible, I love that I can fully customize the entire calendar, I love the professional printing quality. They are the bomb!
Below is the 2011 Calendar I created for the grandparents. Click here for a link to my calendar last year, including a video and step by step tutorial for how to import photobook templates into the calendar:

I used the Travel Journal Digital Kit #121071 Finished size is 8 1/2″ x 11″ landscape. MDS Calendars also come in 8 1/2″ x 11″ portrait X 12″x12″.

This year I designed and digitally stamped my Christmas Cards using My Digital Studio (MDS) software, I had so much fun I ended up creating a bunch of designs and had the hardest time narrowing it down to one (click here to view them >). Of course I could have printed 25 of each but I didn’t want anyone to fight over them hehehe. In the end, I chose this one for the winner. I had them professionally printed through the software program, man was this super cool!
To make the card extra special, I added some “shimmer” and “sparkle” by using Stampin’ Up Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint #116806 & some rubbing alcohol. I put about 4 or 5 drops of shimmer paint in a spray bottle with approximately 1oz of rubbing alcohol. I cut a peice of card stock the size of the picture on the front, and placed that over the picture before spraying, this way the glittery shimmer was not over the photo. I also sprayed the inside. The photos don’t do the end result justice, in person this just made an fantastic card … completely amazing!
To see a video on how to create the shimmer paint mist, and a few other cool techniques created with shimmer paint, click here >

This post has gone to the dogs! Or should I say, to the Dog. Pet Holiday photo cards are very popular, and you can use the same card designs and templates for your dog, cat, bird, or chinchilla, I had some fun making a couple specifically for the dog. These were “digitally stamped” using My Digital Studio (MDS) software and downloads.
These cards feature my beagle Flash Gordon, so I’m calling them “Flash Cards” hehehe.

I added the hardware over the ribbon to give the effect of a dog collar and dog tag.
“Have yourself a Merry little Christmas” words came from the Christmas Cocoa 2 Digital Kit (120880), Candy Cane Lane Photocard Digital Kit (122177), Hodgepodge Hardware - Styled Silver (118863) this comes with the MDS software, Always Artichoke grosgrain ribbon (comes with software),

__________________________________________________________________

This one I had some fun with, adding the MIstletoe (included in MDS) over the fire hydrant.
“Ho Ho Ho Let’s go find some Mistletoe” & “Season’s Greetings” words both came from Old Saint Nick Stamp Brush Set (119094), The fire hydrant stamp is from the Man’s Best Friendstamp brush set - which is part of the MDs software (not available seperately at this time).

Ever see those fashion magazines that show 2 celebrities wearing the same dress? How embarassing! Another great quality of using My Digital Studio to create photo cards this holiday season is that your cards will stand out in a crowd. Since MDS cards are totally customizable, no one else will have the same design. No embarrasing duplicates.
Today’s cards feature my friend Vanessa and her newborn baby. You may remember Vanessa as the co-host on the Stamp with Tami show (and you may even remember her pregnant belly hehehe).

The background is the Deck the Halls Digital Kit (122176), with Vintage Overlays stamp brush (121061). “Peace Love and Joy” is from the All Holidays stamp brush (118825) which is included in the MDS software package. The brad is from Antique Brads Pack (122164) (doesn’t it look so real?).

_______________________________________________________________________

Both “Oh, come let us adore Him” & “Merry Christmas” words, along with the 3 Wise men image are from the Come to Bethlehem stamp brush set (123963). Scallop Trim border punch (122136).

_______________________________________________________________________

Let the photo do the talking. Here I just added a small text and embellishment to allow the photo to stand out. The flourish is from Frames with a Florish stamp brush set (119104) - this comes with the MDS software package. “Merry Christmas” is from Come to Bethlehem stamp brush set (123963).

Having waaay too much fun designing these Holiday Photo cards with Stampin’ Up!’s My Digital Studio (MDS). Today is “Black & Red” and oh how different this color scheme can be. From the classy and elegant look, to the super fun “santa suit” card.

MERRY CHRISTMAS PHOTO CARD:
You could change the wording on this card and use it for a wedding it’s so elegant and pretty. I changed my photos from color to black and white using the MDS “photo effects”. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler from the Seam Binding Ribbon Digital Download (123957). Stamps are from the Baroque Motifs Stamp Brush set download (118843) - this is included in the MDS software package.

SANTA SUIT PHOTO CARD:
Isn’t this just the cutest?! I think it may just be my favorite. I created the background with the following punch downloads: Square Punch (included in MDS), Pinking Hearts Border Punch (122134), Word Window Punch (122161). The “Ho Ho Ho” Is from the Jolly Jingles (123950) digital stamp brush set.
HOLLY JOLLY PHOTO CARD:
A combination of elegance and color, very striking. The side stripes were created with the Sqaure punch (included in MDS). The stamp brush sets used are Bright Christmas II Stamp Brush Set (123727) & the scroll is from Frames with a Flourish stamp brush set (119104) - included with MDS.

PEACE LOVE JOY PHOTO CARD:
The snowflakes on this card came from the Icicle Photocard Digital Kit download (120882). I used the Square punch to create the photo box edge, and Very Vanilla brads found in the All Core pack (118847)

_______________________________________________________________________

WINTER WONDERLAND PHOTO CARD:
The dark chocolate with the bashful blue is one my favorite color combinations. The snowflake background come from the Snowburst Stamp Brush set (119100) this is included in the MDS software. The “Winter Wonderland” stamp came from Bright Christmas II Stamp Brush Set (123727).

_______________________________________________________________________

The background of this picture card using the Candy Cane Lane Digital Kit (122177). I softened the pattern by making the opacity lighter. Then added the snowflake edges and “Merry & Bright” are from the Season of Cheer digital brush stamp set (118845) this is included in the MDS software. Embellishments are Vintage Trinkets (122163) & Soft Suede polka dot ribbon (122148).

Photos in and on your holiday cards are such a great way to share your family. I save the pictures from the Christmas cards I receive from friends and family each year, and love looking back at old photos.
Creating photo cards with My Digital Studio (MDS) is so fun, and dare I say even a little addicting. I decided to “digitally stamp” my Christmas Cards last year (click here to view > ). The great part is, they are totally customizable. You can make them postcards or full cards. With MDS you have the option to either print them out yourself on your home printer, or have them professionally printed through MDS. You can even customize the inside, write a note, etc. It was so cool to be able to put photos on both the outside AND inside of the card.
I’ve started to create some MDS photo card designs, along with digital stamps and accessories I used to create them. Once I started designing these, I was having so much fun I just kept going.
SEASON’S GREETINGS PHOTO CARD:
This was created with the Christmas Cocoa II Digital Kit (120880)

______________________________________________________________________

MERRY CHRISTMAS PHOTO CARD:
This is was created using a 5×7″ photo card template (part of the MDS program). The photo was taken with my underwater camera, and I used the MDS Photo Effects to make it black and white. The “Merry Christmas” stamp is from the All Holidays digital set that comes included with MDS.
______________________________________________________________________

JOY TO THE WORLD PHOTO CARD:
I really had some fun with this card, the background is the brand new Deck the Halls Digital Kit (122176), and some Always Artichoke. Wide Oval & Dotted Ribbon (122151) punches. “Joy to the World” & the ornament topper are from the Jolly Jingles (123950) digital stamp brush set.

I knew the big day was coming, I tried hiding from it but it came anyway…yep…the big 4-0! And to celebrate, my husband and I went for a motorcycle ride. Only seemed right to take out the Harley he bought me for my birthday 2 months early! Upon returning home from our ride, I was surprised by 120 of our closest friends and family in our driveway!! SURPRISE!!! WOW! And I certainly was surprised.
Steve had even hired a dj and catered dinner from my favorite bbq place! It was an incredible day, and I’m happy to report 40 never felt so good! WAHOO! Bring it on. I made a collage of fun pictures from the party using My Digital Studio to embellish and really make it special.

Here are some super cool My Digital Studio (MDS) scrapbook page layouts from another Tami W., my up-up-line Tami Waddell. She is really great with digital layouts, and she gave me her permission to share a couple she did of her family.
This first page she used the stamp set World Tour Brush Set (#119103 - $3.95) & Rough Type Alphabet stamp brush (#121066 - $9.95).

This second page Tami used stamp brushes, paper and accessories that are included in the original software.
She had these professionally printed directly through the MDS program, then she “hybrid” by added some coordinating embellishments.
