The belly band around the card is created with Vellum cardstock layered over Basic Gray cardstock. The words are heat embossed on the vellum. It’s important to use the Vellum cardstock when heat embossing to prevent burning and curling.

The words are from the Evergreen Elegance Stamp set. If you like to make photo cards, layer a photo on the inside.

The elegant designer series paper is specialty paper from the Stampin’ Up Peaceful Place collection.

The die cut trees are from the Cloche die set.

OK Tami, I am struggling with the belly band….I have cut as instructed, 1 1/4″ x 11″ and when card is folded it measures 5 1/2″ so should close in the band but it is short……..any idea on what I can do??? HELP!!

  4. GINNY PREAM says

    Well Tami –

I attached 2 of the larger trees on each end of the vellum and overlapped them and I love how it turned out. Gives the back a little
bit of interest. Not sure how else I could have done it. So if anyone else runs into this please let me now what I am doing wrong for them not to meet in the back. Sorry I am rambling!

  5. GINNY PREAM says

Made another band and extended it, still didn’t like the back because you could see the extension, so added a large tree and 2 small trees and arranged them to cover the extension . Felt it finished it off. Thanks for the great card idea and helpful hint.

    Hugs,
    Ginny
