Storm Updates and Paper Pumpkin Giveaway and Free Gift Deadline is March 10

STORM UPDATE

So that “little” snowstorm they were predicting ended up hitting my area with some wet, heavy snow, that took down trees and power lines. We are used to snow here in New England, but this was heavier then our poor trees and power lines could take, and much of our region ended up without power. I was fortunate to get my power back after a day, but Linda’s is still out.

As the power came back on, the supplies for my new office remodel arrived. I had outgrown my old office set up, and needed to re-work the space to better fit our needs. Once it’s complete, I hope to be run more efficiently. Construction is beginning today, which has my tiny temporary office space even more crowded and a little tight to work in. My stamp space (Also known as my dining room) is totally covered with office supplies during the construction.

As a result, I have to reschedule my Friday Facebook Live Class until next Tuesday. And we have to cancel Tuesday’s Stamp Scoop (we will be back on March 27 with episode 50). Hopefully Linda gets her power back soon.

PAPER PUMPKIN FREE GIFT DEADLINE MARCH 10

My facebook live class was going to be my February “Wildflower Wishes” kit alternate project. Below are some alternate projects from Stampin Up. Updated Facebook Live times and dates are listed in the EVENTS section of my Facebook page.

ALTERNATE PROJECTS
Paper Pumpkin kits can always be combined with coordinating Stampin’ Up! products to create amazing, unique projects that you design yourself. For inspiration, have a look at our concept artist’s mini scrapbook page using the adhesive-backed Friend letters as a focal point.
SCRAPBOOK PAGE DETAILS:
For a backdrop, she drenched the bottom half of some Watercolor Paper (item 122959) in Melon Mambo ink (item 126948), added texture with Embossing Paste (item 141979) and a Pattern Party Decorative Mask (item 1444103), and adhered her mini-masterpiece to one of the cards in the kit. She finished the look with a Birthday Mini Binder Clip (item 145563) a bit of machine stitching, wildflower stickers, and a linen bow.
CELEBRATE CARD DETAILS:
To make the cheery card in the center, layer Flirty Flamingo Cardstock (item 141416) on the front of a white card (included in the kit), tie with a Flirty Flamingo Baker’s Twine (item 144356) bow, then create a top border using Whisper White Cardstock (item 100730) stamped using the kit’s floral images and colored with an Aqua Painter (item 103954) and ink. Add a bit of Pick a Pattern Washi Tape (item 144166) and some Lemon Lime Twist 1/4″ Ombre Ribbon, then pop up the stamped Whisper White and Pool Party Cardstock (item 122924) tags using dimensionals. Finish with a sprinkle of sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment (item 144214) and you’re done!
THANK YOU CARD DETAILS:
For our final alternate sample, we used elements entirely from the kit but we gave them a new twist, using a different layout than the samples featured in the instructions. (Do you love how we rolled up the twine in a wreath-shape and arranged it behind the tag? So cute!) There are tons of things you can do with the contents of your Paper Pumpkin kit. The sky’s the limit!

Wildflower Wishes Refills

Because one set of these stunning cards will NOT be enough, be sure to pick up a Wildflower Wishes refill in the online store. You might even consider making a stack of cards for a friend—especially one who might love being reminded that spring is coming soon!
