Simple Birthday Thanks - Altered Sprinkles
Posted on October 27th, 2009, 5 responses.
Here’s one more super cute project showing altered 1/2 pearls. This one uses the Simple Birthday Thanks stamp (111546), paired with Tea Party Designer paper (113992) & Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (115370). I used the Chocolate Glitter from the Fine Supernova package (114287) and of course the Stampin Up Pretties kit (109114). The cupcake wrapper was made with the Crimper (101618).

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Christmas Wreath & Altered Holly
Posted on October 25th, 2009, 6 responses.
It’s beautiful, very cool, and surprisingly easy to create this holiday wreath. Today’s video shows how to create this gorgeous wreath, and a different take altered 1/2 pearls that I presented at the Portland, Maine Stampin’ Up Regionals. I love the way the holly berries just jump off the card! More techniques include tying bows made simple and embossing. Click here to download printable instruction sheet >

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Rudolph’s Altered Nose Job
Posted on October 22nd, 2009, one response.
As promised, here are a couple samples from my Regional Presentation in Portland, Maine last week. My “Workshop Wow” technique was Altered 1/2 Pearls from the Stampin’ Up Pretties kit (109114).
Today’s video tutorial shows how to use Stampin’ Up Craft Ink and Clear Emboss powder with the 1/2 pearls. This card will put a smile on your face, it’s just plain fun! I’ll also show you how to create this super cool metallic background effect using shimmer paint, use the Crop-a-dile to set eyelets, once again a card jam packed with techniques. Here is another of my “Workshop Wow” presentation samples, it is a remake of the From the Crypt Halloween card we made at stamp club last month. During my local stamp club class, Peggy Bryant took one of the 1/2 pearls we were originally putting at the top of the card and stuck it on the spider body and VIOLA! A star-card is born! We “eeked and ahhhhed” - I love it when that happens! Thanks to Peggy, this spider card no only become my Founders Circle swap in September it was also the first of my regional presentations in Protland, ME. It was a team effort hehehe.

Surprise in the mailbox, I’m in a magazine!!
Posted on October 21st, 2009, 5 responses.
What an incredible surprise I had waiting for me in the mailbox today! My Stampin’ Success magazine came today (Stampin Up publication for demonstators), and getting this is always one of my favorite times of the month. I usually run for my comfy couch , sit back and soak in all of the awesome ideas - cover to cover.
Well today, as I’m purusing the magazine, I flip over to page 12 and there’s me! It is an article I had done a awhile back for being a top Demonstrator of the Year. It’s quite an honor, and it’s even more exciting to stumble across by accident. Kind of like the time Steve and I were flipping through tv channels and came across my TV show not realizing what it was at first (I just wanted to watch the crafts hehehe).
I’m so giddy, I just had to share!
Digital Scrapbook Page - Stampin Up Regional
Posted on October 21st, 2009, no responses.
Last week some of my team and I went on a road trip to a Stampin’ Up! Regional event in Portland, ME. One of my gals, Ellen, drove all the way from Maryland to meet us there!! I think she gets the prize the longest travel, and it was soooo worth it. We had the BEST time, it was so much fun. Swapping, stamping, laughing and gabbing.
I gave a “workshop wow” presentation, tomorrow I’ll share a video tutorial of the technique and one of my presentation projects. It’s pretty darn cool and super cute:)
This is a scrapbook page of some of our pictures I created in just a few minutes in My Digital Studio. I am in love with this program, it’s so easy to make super cool projects like this, that I may actually get caught up on my scrapbooking! Imagine that.

Isn’t he just the cutest Santa Claus? This is just such a darling idea, created by April Roycroft, this card shows the new Build a Bear Workshop Collection from Stampin’ Up along with the Tree Trimmings (116722) & Warm Words (115108) stamp sets. The BABW pieces are the Stampin’ Up Bear die (117977), coupled with the Beary Merry die (117980).

VIDEO TUTORIAL: A Christmas Cardinal
Posted on October 18th, 2009, 6 responses.
Wowzers, today’s video tutorial is packed full of fabulous techniques including watercoloring, creating this super cool oval textured background, a shimmery background and this super cute mini flag banner. I apologize for my cold, don’t laugh at my voice too much.
Learn how to create this oval background with a piece of Stampin’ Up Chipboard and the scallop oval die…true story, you’re going to flip when you see it. Use this over and over again on all of the texture plates. Plus a little cheat in creating this shimmery background (which is really hard to see in the video but super cool in person) - shhhh…don’t tell anyone. DOWNLOAD PRINTABLE SUPPLY LIST >

Medallion Cards
Posted on October 15th, 2009, one response.
Medallion is on my list as one of the coolest stamps, it has a gorgeous look to it, and can be done so many different ways. With the release of my Medallion kit this week, I was thinking about some of the beautiful Medalllion (115223) samples I have displayed. The card to the left was created by my friend, Leasa Williams for Founders Circle last month. She embossed the medallion in black, then used soft subtle brads for an accent.
The 2 samples below were designed by Jessie Benjamin and Keri Metzger. They stamped the Medallion in the lighter ink, then used sponge daubers to dab on the dark color directly to the rubber before stamping. The background of these was done with the Sanded background stamp (109294).

Do you enjoy photos in your Christmas and holiday cards? Check out these beautiful works of digital stamping art, made with Stampin’ Up’s My Digital Studio software.
