My Digital Studio Calendar
Posted on September 30th, 2009, one response.
For the past 8 or so years, I’ve made family photo calendars for all of our parents and grandparents. It helps me to remember to take family photos at all events so I’ll have good shots for the calendars. I used to use a service through my photo printing place, and they were great BUT I’ve just learned that Stampin’ Up’s My Digital Studio makes calendars, so I tried one. Not only was it faster, quicker and easier than the calendars I use to have made; I can customize the ENTIRE calendar (no more layout limits) and have options on sizes too. I am in hog heaven!!!
I made up this calendar for my Dad for Christmas. The pics were all from our last trip down to visit him in Key West earlier this year. OMG!! this was so much fun to make and I can’t wait to make these for everyone for holiday presents. They so stinkin’ cool!!! The first page is the calendar cover, the pages after will hang photo page over calendar when it’s printed. This finished calendar is 12×12:

Stampin Up Autumn Splendor Cards
Posted on September 30th, 2009, no responses.
The Autumn Splendor stamp set (116503) was released in the 2009 Holiday Mini catalog, and so far I have seen nothing but beautiful projects created with it. I’m dedicating this post to Autumn Splendor, I hope you enjoy. These cards are all so beautiful, they were swaps given to me at Founder’s circle in September.
The card to the right was created by Winona Selma. She also used the oval and lots of tags sizzis dies with jumbo brad to create the accent.
The card above was created by Jeana Cable, she used the big shot texture plates and leaves die # 2 (113459), and the modern label punch.
Susie Wood used the Spiral punch and “rock and roll” technique to accent this card. Read the rest of this entry…

U2 on My Digital Studio
Posted on September 27th, 2009, 3 responses.
Monday night Steve and I went to the U2 concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA! Our friends Karen and Andrew invited us to the concert in a suite, it was so much fun!! I couldn’t wait to come home and play with the pictures in Stampin’ Up’s My Digital Studio program. I created an entire book from scratch. It was my first album, this one I did in 8×8, there are 5 sizes to choose from. I am totally hooked, this is the coolest program ever!!!
This is the cover of the album, it uses jumbo & silver brads, stitching, distressed background paper.
For this page I used one of my concert photos for the background for a cool effect. The rest of the pages use the Extreme Elements stamp set as accents.

TEACHING GLENDA A NEW TRICK: One day at Founder’s Circle Dawn Griffith and I taught Glenda Travelstead how to make a video using her new computer. I whipped out my camera, shot a quick 15 second video to expirament with. In just 1 half hour, we had taught Glenda how to add titles, intros, effects such as aging the video, slow down certain spots, etc. She went back to her room, completed the video all on her own, uploaded to YouTube (by herself) and this is the finished product. We are soooo proud, but really you can’t help but watch this and laugh…it’s pretty darn funny!

Our plane landed in Boston late last night, it was the end of an amazing trip to St. George, UT for Stampin’ Up’s Annual Founder’s Circle Retreat. This event is awarded to the Top 100 demonstrators in the company, and I was blessed and honored to be among them.
What a fabulous trip, seeing old friends and meeting new ones. We were spoiled by SU with pillow gifts and goodies, sneak peeks and free stamps. Here are a couple highlights, I will post the rest over the next few days.
This first picture is of dinner the last night. My friends Cheryl Flynn, Michelle Rahal, Leasa Williams, Kim Cagle, Shelli Gardner & myself shared a table and a wonderful evening.
Stay tuned for more!
